of TobyChristie reports that Stewart Friesen, a full-time competitor in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, has been transported to a local hospital following an accident in a Super DIRTcar Series event at Autodrome Drummond on Monday.

The incident occurred during a feature event at the Drummondville, Quebec-based racetrack when Friesen was in a three-wide battle and went wide on the straightaway, sending his Halmar International-sponsored machine up the racetrack and towards the barrier.

Here’s Lou Modestino’s Track Talk column for this past weekend’s racing at Indianapolis, IN and Monterey, CA.

Bubba Wallace won the Cup Series race at the Brickyard. Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT came in 4th.  Joey Logano of Middletown, CT ended up 32nd.

Connor Zillisch won the Xfinity race while Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT came in 23rd.

Across town at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, the Craftsman Truck race was won Layne Riggs with Gio Ruggiero of Seekonk, MA having a tough day and ending up 28th.

Over on the west coast at Monterey, CA it was another Indycar win for Spain’s Alex Palou while Santino Ferrucci of Woodbury, CT had an off day and finished 22nd

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (July 25, 2025) – Joe Gibbs Racing announced today that Denny Hamlin has signed a multi-year contract extension to continue driving the organization’s No. 11 Toyota Camry XSE in the NASCAR Cup Series.

Hamlin, who ranks 11th all-time with 58 Cup Series victories, has already won four times this season and ranks fourth in the overall points standings. He is the longest-tenured driver in the team’s history with all 706 of his career starts coming behind the wheel of JGR’s No. 11 entry.
