Jimmie Johnson Aiming for Indianapolis 500 Debut
There is an increasingly likely scenario that could see Jimmie Johnson in an arm-wrestling contest with Tony Kanaan to determine who gets the Chip Ganassi Racing No. 48 in the 106th Indianapolis 500 next May.

Team co-owner Bobby Rahal has for many years talked about running three cars full-time in IndyCar if it made financial sense, and while Leader Circle funding – the money given to the top 22 cars in entrant points at the end of the year – is worth approximately $825,000 per car this year, that may well prove the necessary boost for the three-time IndyCar champion to take the three-car plunge in 2022. Ferrucci Shifts Back to NASCAR, Still Looking For a Full Ride
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Santino Ferrucci wants to race, in NASCAR and IndyCar or anywhere he can get a seat.
But he agrees with Graham Rahal, who a week ago said Ferrucci must stop crashing in IndyCar to be considered for a long-term addition at Rahal Letterman Lanigan.
Doug Coby Looks For First Riverhead Raceway Win In Miller Lite 200
MILFORD, Conn. — Doug Coby looks to break into Victory Lane for the first time at Riverhead Raceway in NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour competition on Saturday, May 15. In race three of the tour season — the Miller Lite 200 — Coby looks to erase a 19-race winless streak on Long Island. The six-time Whelen Modified Tour champion does have two finishes of second and has led 332 laps at the bullring, but is yet to hoist the checkered flag. (more…)
