DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge series completed a three-day Roar Before the Rolex 24 test on Sunday. Five-Race Challenge Creates Flexible Class for SCCA Club GT1 Cars
CHARLOTTE (January 16, 2025) — The Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli announces the unveiling of a new class for the 2025 season. The GT1 Challenge will provide competitors that race in SCCA Club Racing’s GT1 class with an opportunity to compete for a title in the Trans Am Series with a shorter, more flexible schedule and reduced entry fees.
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Set to make their IMSA debut, Toney Driver Development (TDD) will enter a single car entry in the 2025 VP Racing SportsCar Challenge. Taking place at the famed Daytona International Speedway over the January 17-19 weekend, Brady Golan, alongside TDD, will make his series debut after earning a podium with the newly formed team in October in open wheel machinery. Porsche race cars were a force to be reckoned with everywhere in professional sports car racing during the 2024 season. One for the record books, a Porsche car stood atop the podium in 50 different open competition races. Wins came from behind the wheel in the 963 prototype, the 911 GT3 R, and the 718 Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport at tracks across the country.
How would an F1 driver would perform in a NASCAR-style stock car? How about on a dirt, oval track? Now, live on the Red Bull Motorsports YouTube channel, those questions are put to the test. Visa Cash App RB drivers Yuki Tsunoda and Liam Lawson unlearned all they know about open-wheel F1 racing as they paired with NASCAR pros Shane van Gisbergen and Connor Zilisch in Austin, TX to try their hand at naturally aspirated V8 stock car racing. BATAVIA, Ohio. (October 14, 2024) – Fresh off the high of securing the Fanatec GT World Challenge America championship title and winning the Indianapolis 8 Hour, Wright Motorsports entered Petit Le Mans with high expectations for a strong finish to the season. Unfortunately, their hopes of celebrating on the podium at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta were shattered in the final hour. An incident with less than one hour remaining in the ten-hour IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race sidelined the No. 120 Porsche 911 GT3 R with terminal damage. INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., (September 7, 2024) – Wright Motorsports made their triumphant return to victory lane on Saturday evening, clinching the Indianapolis 8 Hour race win and securing the GT World Challenge PRO championship. Drivers Adam Adelson, Elliott Skeer, and Laurin Heinrich delivered a near-flawless performance in the No. 120 Porsche 911 GT3 R, earning the first championship title for full-season drivers Adelson and Skeer in dramatic style. The GT World Challenge race victory was the second endurance win in a row for the Wright team. LAS VEGAS (September 4, 2024) – FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN SILVER LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX has confirmed Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli as a support race when the highly anticipated event returns November 21–23. The addition of the Ferrari Challenge series to the racing schedule means ticketed fans will now see two racing series speed down the iconic Las Vegas Strip during the Las Vegas Grand Prix race weekend.
