Michael Christopher, Jr. Wins CBYD Senator’s Cup; Varricchio, Hovey, Theriault, & Plemons Also Score Feature Wins at Stafford Speedway

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted round 2 of the Tick Mike Triple Crown for its SK Modified® division with the 50-lap Call Before You Dig Senator’s Cup on Friday, June 20^th. The race served as the second of three legs of the TickMike.com Triple Crown and Michael Christopher, Jr. was the winner for the second consecutive week. Christopher’s victory was also his third consecutive victory in the CBYD Senator’s Cup 50-lap feature event. Other feature winners on the night were Paul Varricchio, Jr. in the Late Model feature, Nickolas Hovey in the SK Light feature, Kyle Theriault in the Limited Late Model feature, and Aaron Plemons in the Street Stock feature. McKennedy Uses Late Race Pass to Topple Christopher Jr. for $5K Nutmeg State 50 Honors

Thompson, CT — A great night of weather and talented fields greeted the crowd that entered Thompson Speedway on Wednesday night with a pit area containing nearly one hundred competitors for the Nutmeg State 50 program presented by Twisted Tea.

The Mini Stocks started off feature racing with Dave Trudeau and Sean Olden both holding out after their spins for the caution flag to rejoin the field. Under green flag conditions, though, rookie Bill Porter and returning high-marker Ryan Pomposelli put on a clean side-by-side race out front before Pomposelli broke through with five to go and motored to his first win of the season followed by Porter and Tim Dorr.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted the Casella Waste SK 80 on Friday, June 13th with Michael Christopher, Jr. taking home the Casella Waste hardware for a second consecutive season. In 2024, Christopher won the race as an Open Modified 80 event and this season as an SK Modified® event. The victory is Christopher’s first of the 2025 season and extends his recent string of success in extra distance, big money events.

Christopher Bell Outduels Joey Logano For First Career NASCAR All-Star Win

NORTH WILKESBORO, N.C. — Fireworks lit up the sky, and smoke billowed from the tires of the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota as Christopher Bell celebrated his first victory in the NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway.

On Sunday night, Bell climbed from his car to a standing ovation. Scratch that—virtually everyone in the packed grandstands already had been standing for the final 28 lap green-flag run, as Bell battled Joey Logano side-by-side and finally cleared last year’s winner for the lead on Lap 241 of 250.

The distinguished visitors also took part in a tour of the cemetery, visited with members of the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment and toured the Pentagon while in Washington, D.C.
