Third Consecutive NAPA Spring Sizzler Victory Sees Matt Clement Leading Stafford’s Limited Late Model Division

(Stafford Springs, CT)—As the saying goes, the only two things in life that are certain are death and taxes. With a third consecutive NAPA Spring Sizzler victory to kick off the 2025 season, Matt Clement and the #59 Utility Services New England Limited Late Model team could be added to that cliché as perpetual winners of the season opening event. Clement’s third consecutive NAPA Spring Sizzler victory was his fourth overall Sizzler victory, meaning that nearly 25% of his 21 career feature wins have come in that event.

Rocco, Varricchio, Hovey, Clement, & Plemons Score May 16 Weekly Feature Wins at Stafford Speedway

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted Weekly Racing on Friday, May 16th with SK Lights taking part in a special 30-lap extra distance feature. The night saw Keith Rocco win the 40-lap SK Modified® feature in a thrilling finish between himself, Jon Puleo, and Michael Christopher, Jr. that saw several lead changes and a 3-wide move in the final laps before Rocco came away with the checkered flag. Other winners on the night were Paul Varricchio, Jr. in the Late Model feature, Nickolas Hovey in the SK Light feature, Matt Clement in the Limited Late Model feature, and Aaron Plemons in the Street Stock feature. Varricchio, Hovey, and Clement were all repeat winners from NAPA Spring Sizzler® Weekend.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted the 53rd Annual NAPA Spring Sizzler® along with its five weekly divisions on Sunday, April 27th. Feature winners on the day were Jon Puleo in the SK Modified® feature, Paul Varricchio, Jr. in the Late Model feature, Nickolas Hovey and Brian Sullivan were the winners of the two 20-lap SK Light duels that will set the starting field for the SK Light 30-lap feature on the Friday, May 9 Weekly Racing card, Matt Clement in the Limited Late Model feature, and Bert Ouellette in the Street Stock feature.

Christopher, Gray, Morrison, Clement & Hydar Score Oct. 4 NAPA Championship Night Wins at Stafford; Molleur, Gambacorta, Clement, & Downey Clinch Track Titles

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted its final Friday night race program of the 2024 season with NAPA Auto Parts Championship Night on October 4. Feature wins were notched by Michael Christopher, Jr. in the SK Modified® feature, Adam Gray in the Late Model feature, Josh Morrison in the SK Light feature, Matt Clement in the Limited Late Model feature, and Travis Hydar in the Street Stock feature. Tyler Chapman had already secured the SK Light track championship last week and the other 2024 track champions are Andrew Molleur in the SK Modified® division, Kevin Gambacorta for the second consecutive season in the Late Model division, Matt Clement in the Limited Late Model division, and Travis Downey in the Street Stock feature. Matt Clement Leading Family Charge Into 2024 Limited Late Model Season at Stafford

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Since notching his first career win back in 2019, Matt Clement has twice come very close to winning a championship in Stafford Speedway’s Limited Late Model division. Both seasons saw Clement finish behind Jeremy Lavoie with the margin 20 points this past season and only 4 points in 2019. Clement is ready to once again be a championship contender in 2024 with his #59 Utility Service New England team.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway returned to racing action on Friday, July 8 with the 6^th Annual Dunleavy’s Modifiedz Night with the SK Lights taking center stage with a 40-lap extra distance event that paid a guaranteed $1,750 to win. Brian Sullivan was the big winner of the night, taking his fourth win of the season in the extra distance, extra money Dunleavy’s Modifiedz Night feature event.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted First Responder Friday on September 9 with the TC 13 Shootout joining Stafford’s five weekly divisions in feature action. The SK Modified® division ran their regularly scheduled 40-lap feature as well as the 3rd Annual TC 13 Shootout, a 13 lap race contested between the top-13 finishers from the 40-lap feature.
