Trimble Expands Sponsor Partnership, Bolstering RFK Racing Lineup With Corey LaJoie for the Great American Race
CONCORD, NC (January 20, 2026) – RFK Racing today announced it will field a fourth entry in next month’s Daytona 500, with Trimble serving as the primary sponsor. RFK Racing will reprise the No. 99 – a number the organization ran from 1996-2014 – with Corey LaJoie set to drive the Trimble Ford Mustang in the Feb.15 race.
The No. 99 carries a storied legacy within RFK Racing, standing as one of the most successful numbers in the organization’s history. Over a 19-consecutive-season stretch, the No. 99 delivered 40 NASCAR Cup Series victories for RFK Racing. Jeff Burton piloted the No. 99 from 1996 to 2004, earning 17 wins. That success continued with Carl Edwards, who carried the number from 2004 to 2014, adding 23 victories.
Frontstretch reports that Brad Keselowski does not plan to race in the season-opening Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium next month and will have Corey LaJoie as a substitute, according to FOX Sports’ Bob Pockrass.
MERCED, Calif. — As he stepped off the ATV in the pits at Merced Speedway on Saturday afternoon, Corey Day seemed none the worse for wear.
A week earlier, at fast, slick Placerville Speedway in Northern California, Day had suffered a series of violent flips while running second in his midget race car midway through the Hangtown 100.
CONCORD, N.C. (Nov. 7, 2025) – After making 11 appearances in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2025, 19-year-old rising star Corey Day will compete full time on the circuit next season in the No. 17 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet fielded by Hendrick Motorsports.
Corey LaJoie will race Spire Motorsports’ No. 77 Gainbridge Chevrolet Silverado in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Championship Race at Phoenix Raceway.
Last weekend at Martinsville Speedway, LaJoie registered a fifth-place showing after battling water temperature issues early. The Concord, N.C., native rallied from outside the top 20 to secure his third top-five finish of the 2025 campaign.
Corey LaJoie will drive Spire Motorsports’ No. 77 Gainbridge Chevrolet Silverado in the Slim Jim 200 at Martinsville Speedway.
Corey LaJoie (originally of Norwalk, CT) will drive Spire Motorsports’ No. 77 Gainbridge Chevrolet Silverado in Friday’s EcoSave 250 on the ROVAL at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

DARLINGTON, S.C.—Even though the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series changed the clock from the regular season to the Playoffs, it was still “Corey Heim Time” on Saturday at Darlington Raceway.
Pulling away after a restart on Lap 134 of 147, Heim won the Playoff-opening Sober or Slammer 200 at the challenging 1.366-mile track. The win was Heim’s eighth of the year, one short of Greg Biffle’s record nine-victory season in 1999.
