NASCAR Adjusts Practice & Qualifying Procedures for 2025 Season
Three National Series Move to Simplified Starting Lineup Process; DAYTONA 500 Pre-Qualifying Practice Added to Weekend Schedule
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Dec. 12, 2024) – NASCAR today announced that its three national series – the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series – will adjust the practice and qualifying (P&Q) procedures for the 2025 season. The updated P&Q schedule will include more practice time, consistency in procedure across all three series and a return to simplified starting lineup rules. With the exception of the superspeedway events, each qualifying session will be one round, with each vehicle’s starting position determined solely by its qualifying results.

Tyler Ankrum Returns to McAnally-Hilgemann Racing in 2025
Statesville, N.C. (November 22, 2024) McAnally-Hilgemann Racing (MHR) announced today that Tyler Ankrum will return to the team’s NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) lineup in 2025. The San Bernadino, Calif. native will continue to pilot the No. 18 LIUNA Chevrolet Silverado RST for his seventh campaign on the NCTS tour.
Daniel Hemric Joining McAnally-Hilgemann Racing For 2025 Truck Series Season
McAnally-Hilgemann Racing (MHR) announced today that 2021 NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) champion Daniel Hemric will join the organization for the 2025 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) season. The 33-year-old from Kannapolis, N.C. will drive the No. 19 NAPA Auto Care Chevrolet Silverado RST during Bill McAnally’s 35th season in partnership with NAPA. Rackley W.A.R. Relocating From Tennessee To North Carolina
Rackley W.A.R. announced today that it will be moving its entire team operations from the current shop in Tennessee to North Carolina during the 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series offseason. The move comes at the conclusion of the organization’s fourth full-time season competing in the Truck Series.
Moving into the GMS Fabrication Building in Statesville, NC offers expanded workspaces to improve efficiency in the shop day-to-day. It also puts the team closer to its resources and partners, including chassis builders and parts suppliers for not only its Truck Series team but also the late model program. (more…)
