DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Dec. 2, 2024) – NASCAR announced today that Craig Stimmel has been hired to lead all sales efforts for the sanctioning body as Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. In this role, Stimmel will oversee all sales aspects for NASCAR, including premier partner and official partner categories, race entitlements, track partnerships and media sales across owned channels such as Motor Racing Network (MRN) and NASCAR Digital Media. He will also work closely with NASCAR’s media partners, teams, and non-NASCAR tracks to cultivate commercial opportunities across the entire NASCAR ecosystem.

THOMPSON, Conn. – In what was a wild 150 laps sponsored by Phoenix Communications, Craig Lutz returned to Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park Victory Lane on Thursday night, August 18. As the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour hit the high-banks for the first time since 2020, Lutz drove the No. 82 for Danny Watts to the front of the field early, and bested his challengers on multiple late restarts to score his fourth series win and first of the season. Ma Nature smiled on Grandview Speedway Saturday night and allowed a Mom’s Night NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series tripleheader to be completed with Duane Howard battling with Jesse Leiby in the T.P. Trailers 358 NASCAR 30-lap Modified feature beginning on the 15th lap. The veteran campaigner tried to dive underneath the rookie and later attempted the outside trek, but each attempt failed. Finally on the 22nd lap, the six-time point champion got past Leiby and went on to take the win. (more…)
Eric Goodale Heads To Riverhead Raceway With Early Season Championship Lead After Hot Start
In the previous 64 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour races contested at Riverhead Raceway there was perhaps no more a popular winner then Eric Goodale of Riverhead when he topped the late Ted Christopher for the win June 28th, 2014. Eric who grew up roughly three miles from the historic quarter mile bullring was swarmed by family and friends after his first career WMT triumph. Saturday May 15th the 35-year old Goodale will come to the Miller Lite 200 at Riverhead as the early season WMT championship leader and is hopeful to repeat the scene from June of 2014. (more…)
Supercross Series Delivers a Season of Groundbreaking Firsts
ELLENTON, Fla., (May 4, 2021) – The 2021 Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship was supposed to be a step back to normalcy after 2020’s incredible Responsible Return to Racing protocol that saw the racers and teams concluding the season – all seven remaining rounds – at a single venue. With new protocols, the 2021 season promised more venues, more traditional track variances, and a limited number of fans in attendance. The season delivered all that, but the racing wasn’t back to normal. It was extraordinary.

Drellos starts title defense with a big win at Devil’s Bowl
WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Demetrios Drellos picked up right where he left off last year: On top at Devil’s Bowl Speedway. The reigning Sportsman Modified champion opened the new season on Saturday, May 1, with a dominant win during a wildly unpredictable night presented by Mike’s Fuels of Bridport. A total of 118 racecars jammed the pit area and outer parking lot as a nice spectator crowd filtered in for the 2021 lid-lifter, and Drellos collected a whopping $3,200 for his victory in the race honoring the late Matt Bilodeau. The chase for the championships, part of the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series, continues at Grandview Speedway with Brett Kressley continuing to be the leader in the T.P.Trailers Modified division. With two wins and 1131 points Kressley has just a 19 point lead over defending champion Craig Von Dohren who has 1112 but has yet to visit victory lane. Jared Umbenhauer sits third in the standings with 1033 points followed by Jeff Strunk at 977 and Louden Reimert holding 941. (Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Motor Speedway welcomed the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour to Stafford Speedway for its first of three visits of the 2021 season on Friday, April 30 for the NAPA Auto Parts Spring Sizzler. Patrick Emerling capitalized on a late race move that saw race leaders Ryan Preece and Ron Silk come together and spin right before rain hit Stafford Motor Speedway to inherit the lead and win the 49th Annual NAPA Spring Sizzler, which was called with 130 of 150 laps complete.
