Wiscasset Speedway has a knack for making racing bigger and better with each and every passing year. This off-season was no exception with the addition of the Davis Erector Group Crate Modifieds to the already action-packed Group 1 lineup.
The division has been a work in progress for some time now, as track owner Richard Jordan manifested the idea with the purchase of a fleet of Crate Modifieds a handful of years back. Fans got their first taste of the cars at last season’s Fall Fury event with a 25-lap exhibition race full of exciting twists and turns.

Eastaboga, AL (December 19, 2024) – Racing Promotion Monthly (RPM) and Crate Racin’ USA management have agreed to assemble a program for track operators to experience what the RPM Workshops are, in an attempt to continue to expand the presence of the Workshops and entice more promoters to attend the Daytona and/or Reno Workshops.
FLORENCE, S.C. – Tommy Baldwin Racing drivers Jack Baldwin and Luke Baldwin both had success Saturday night at Florence Motor Speedway.
Jack sealed the night by capturing the victory in the opener of the Carolina Crate Modified Series, driving the No. 7NY in a final lap dash battle to the finish. Luke made his Tour-Type Modified debut in the SMART Modified Tour Peanut Patch 99 with Sadler-Stanley Racing and scored a top-five finish.
Ohsweken, Ontario-Canada – (June 19, 2023) – The Race of Champions Dirt 602 Sportsman Modified Series will head to the ultra-modern Ohsweken Speedway in Oshweken, Ontario-Canada for it’s first visit of the season this coming Friday night for Gale’s Auto Aftermarket night at the races. (more…)
Riverhead Raceway hosted the annual Back To School Monster Truck mid week spectacular Wednesday evening complete with six Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series feature events with Max Handley of Medford topping the list of race winners when he won the 25-lap Eagle Auto Mall Crate Modified event. The win was the second of the season of Handley, a graduate of University of Northern Ohio. (more…)
A large crowd filed through the gates for the Monster Truck Night of Destruction Saturday at Riverhead Raceway with Vinny Delaney of Islip Terrace scoring the victory in the Eagle Auto Mall Crate Modified feature event, his first of 2022. Also scoring big wains Saturday were Gerard Giordano of Freeport who won his first career Late Model event in a 50-lap contest and Jason Castaldo of Shirley who prevailed in the 30-lap INEX Legend Race Car event for his third win of 2022.
iverhead Raceway will spring into summer Saturday evening presenting a program containing nine NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series feature events highlighted by the first Kid’s Big Wheel Race and 4/6-Cylinder Demolition Derby of 2022. The Eagle Auto Mall Crate Modifieds and Late Models each run their first Miller Lite Triple Crown Series events of the young season Saturday. (more…)
