  • BELL AT BRISTOL: Christopher Bell’s best NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) Bristol finish came in the night race last year where he qualified on the pole, led 187 laps and finished third. Overall, Bell has earned two top-five and four top-10 finishes at Bristol. The Oklahoma native also has four NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) starts at Bristol, including a win in April 2019 and a runner-up finish in August 2018. Additionally, Bell has three NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series starts at BMS highlighted by a pole and two top-10 finishes.
  • BRISTOL DIRT WINNER: Bell won the dirt race at Bristol in April 2023. After starting fourth, he led the final 100 laps to take home the win.

The opening round of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs wraps up Saturday night at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway, and while Josh Berry missed this year’s playoffs, the 33-year-old rookie remains very much in contention for the Sunoco Rookie of the Year crown. “The Last Great Colosseum” is expected to be a competitive track for the driver of the No. 4 Bed Bath & Beyond Ford Mustang Dark Horse. A native of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Berry narrowly missed qualifying on the pole in his Cup Series debut on his home-state track’s concrete surface last March. From his second starting spot, he persevered through challenging tire-wear issues that affected the racing throughout the field that day, finishing 10th in the opening stage on his way to taking the checkered flag 12th. MOORESVILLE, N.C. (September 18, 2024) – The Bristol Night Race is next on the NASCAR Cup Series calendar with Michael McDowell and the No. 34 team making their second return of the season to the Last Great Colosseum.

McDowell returns to the World’s Fastest Half-Mile coming off a recent Top-10 at Watkins Glen International, last weekend. His best career-finish at Bristol came last year when he finished sixth in the fall event, he also finished 11th in the spring race earlier this year. (more…)

Bass Pro Shops/Winchester Racing: Noah Gragson Bristol Advance

The Bass Pro Shops Night Race Saturday at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway will mark Noah Gragson’s second NASCAR Cup Series start on the concrete-clad, .533-mile oval. The 26-year-old racer from Las Vegas last competed on the track in March when he started 22nd and finished 34th in the Food City 500. Gragson did, however, race a Cup car at Bristol twice prior to his March visit, but it was when Bristol’s straightaways and high banks were covered in 23,000 cubic yards of red clay. In the Food City Dirt Race in 2022 and 2023, Gragson finished 27th and 33rd, respectively. (more…)

In the past two Bristol races, Hamlin has led a combined 305 of 1,000 laps.

Round Two Of Sunoco Drive For The Cup Playoff Racing This Weekend At Seekonk Speedway

Just three weeks remain in the weekly racing season for 2024 at Seekonk Speedway. This Friday and Saturday night, the Sunoco Drive For The Cup playoffs continue with racing across nine different Seekonk divisions.

The battle is on to gain as many playoff points as possible in all divisions, as drivers continue to try and etch their name into the Final Four. It all begins on Friday night at 7 p.m. with five divisions of racing, followed by another four divisions of NASCAR Saturday racing at 6 p.m. On NASCAR Saturday, the East Coast Towing & Recovery Spectator Drags also will join the show for the final time during a weekly racing event this season. Here’s the way it went for New England drivers at The Glen
Chris Buescher won the Cup race with Corey LaJoie coming in eighth with Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT in ninth then it was Joey Logano of Middletown, CT finishing in 15th while Kaz Grala wasn’t as lucky and ended up 35th.  Corey LaJoie is the son of Two-Time Xfinity Champion who moved from Norwalk, CT and his later years to Charlotte, NC to be closer to the NASCAR action.
The Xfinity race had Corner Zillich in Victory Lane with Parker Kligerman of Westport, CT was awarded seventh with Joey Logano got the ninth spot while Kyle Weatherman was way back in 38th.  Weatherman drives one of the team cars for Cape Cod’s Chris and daughter Mary Our of Chatham, MA.
