Montpelier, VT — The American-Canadian Tour rounded out the 2024 season on Saturday, holding the annual Banquet of Champions at the Capitol Plaza in Montpelier. Over 130 drivers, team members, sponsors and officials joined the official season ending celebration in the Governor’s Ballroom, congratulating one another in between tall tales and a few war-stories from the past season. Thompson, CT — Out-of-character weather greeted the American-Canadian Tour faithful with clear skies and plenty of sunshine on Sunoco World Series Saturday at Thompson Speedway. Windham, Maine’s Brandon Barker earned the pole position in the Chad Sullivan-owned Epping Express with New Salem, Massachusetts-driver Tom Carey III bringing Roger McHugh’s Brookside Ride an outside pole starting spot in Plus/Minus heat race qualifying. Drama sparked pit-side following qualifying action with both Erick Sands and Derek Gluchacki disqualified from their heat race results with both deemed too wide in post-heat tech inspection. (more…)

Barre, VT — Starting off the 62nd Vermont Milk Bowl weekend in style, Booth Bros./Hood Qualifying Day set the tone for the annual end-of-season extravaganza at Barre’s Thunder Road. Forty-seven American-Canadian Tour / Maplefields-Irving Late Models took on the highbanks in the once-a-year single car time trials with Kaiden Fisher and Derek Gluchacki taking fast time before technical inspection stripped them of their efforts with tread width deemed too wide by officials. ACT point leader Gabe Brown and Championship Night winner Darrell Morin inherited the front row prior to the start of the Triple 50s qualifying heat races. (more…)
ACT Returns to Lee USA Speedway This Sunday for New Hampshire Governor’s Cup 150
Barre, VT — Although it will be a grueling third event in just two weeks, American-Canadian Tour officials, fans and teams are excited to return to Lee USA Speedway for the New Hampshire Governor’s Cup 150. The Granite State seacoast oval has played host to the ACT Tour twenty-eight times since 1987 with some of the most iconic stars taking down wins on the quirky circuit. Last time out in 2021, defending ACT Tour champion D.J. Shaw took down his first ever win in North America’s most historic Late Model tour and looks to add his name to the wins list once again.
