Barre, VT – For the first time in recent memory, a Thursday came and went in Barre Vermont that was not affected by the rainy-wrath of Mother Nature. A sunny afternoon greeted the fans and teams of Thunder Road, all in preparation for the all-important Times Argus Midseason Championships.

AO by TF and Spike the Dragon Conquer  the 24 Hours of Le Mans

LE MANS, France., (June 17, 2025) – In a performance defined by precision, resilience, and a little fire-breathing, AO by TF reached the top step of the podium at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The No. 199 Oreca, affectionately known as Spike the Dragon, flew to victory with drivers PJ Hyett, Louis Delétraz, and Dane Cameron. They claimed the LMP2 PRO/AM win, finishing third in the overall LMP2 class.

Scott Dragon Takes First NEFCU+VSECU Labor Day Classic at Thunder Road Hometrack

Barre, VT — Beautiful skies and full crowds greeted the traveling band of American-Canadian Tour faithful for their second visit of the year to Thunder Road International Speedbowl. The NEFCU+VSECU Labor Day Classic saw thirty-one cars enter the pit gate and qualify for starting position in the annual 200-lap holiday weekend event. ACT Rookie of the Year hopeful and current Thunder Road track championship point leader Kaiden Fisher earned the pole alongside former top rookie Erick Sands with both drivers taking a ‘+4’ in the Plus/Minus handicap system.

Fisher would immediately fall back to the rear with a caution prior to the first completed lap with fellow rookie Cole Littlewood. Another quick spin caution re-racked the field once more out of the gate before the field settled in on the lap five restart. Marcel Gravel and Erick Sands battled hard on the return to green but it was the Thunder Road ace Gravel that put the power down on the outside groove. Soon after, two-time track champion Scott Dragon also rounded the ACT regular and set his sights on Gravel. (more…)

Barre, VT — Setting the stage for Sunday’s 45th Labor Day Classic 200, the rain-delayed Jet Service Envelope/Accura Printing Night program went off with a bang on Friday. Tight, competitive racing throughout the divisions wowed the crowd, as did the annual Run-What-U-Brung spectator drags which brought the rabid fanbase to their feet on more than one occasion. Barre, VT — Rain once again played its part in a Thursday at Thunder Road after plenty of the wet stuff fell from the sky to delay the start of practice on WDEV/Calkins Portable Toilets night. Officials remained persistent and dried the track on three separate occasions with the sun helping out on the final session.
