With new protocols, the 2021 season promised more venues, more traditional track variances, and a limited number of fans in attendance. The season delivered all that, but the racing wasn’t back to normal. It was extraordinary.

The 450SX Class racer took a well-earned and dramatic win in front of the enthusiastic limited capacity, pod-seated crowd inside AT&T Stadium.
Houston, Texas, (January 17, 2021) Troy Lee Designs / Red Bull / GASGAS Factory Racing’s Justin Barcia kicked off the 2021 Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship 17-round series with a win in the 450SX Class inside Houston’s NRG Stadium, marking the third time in series history an opening round was hosted in the great state of Texas.
