USAC Silver Crown Contenders Emerge at Springfield, Head for DuQuoin Mile Race

August 25, 2025-DuQuoin, IL-The August 16 Bettenhausen 100 at Springfield, run in high heat and humidity, saw several contenders for victory emerge in the USAC Silver Crown Series event.  The Bettenhausen was the first of two traditional one-mile dirt track races on the schedule.  The second and final mile race is also a daytime event on Saturday, August 30 when the Ted Horn 100 is contested at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds.  The Springfield race saw several potential first-time winners on the Illinois mile.

N. Woodstock, NH — As plans change and drivers move up the ladders of stock car racing, they leave behind a void to be filled at the top of the heap. White Mountain Motorsports Park is sure to see two different champions in both the 1764 Sports Bar & Grill Late Models and Fisher Auto Parts Flying Tigers in 2025 as champions Tanner Woodard and Brandon Gray, respectively, move up and out. When looking ahead to the Miller Lite 200 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event Saturday May 14th at Riverhead Raceway it will be hard not to pick a tested tough WMT veteran for the win. However the quarter mile bullring has provided some surprise winners and results along the way in the previous 67 races and fans might even have to look past the 2022 WMT roster for a potential winner.
