The Central Asphalt Paving Triple Crown for the Fisher Auto Parts Flying Tigers comes to a close with the final of three 75-lap affairs to crown the first champion of the summer season at New Hampshire’s Favorite Short Track along with the annual visit by the New England Pro-4 Modifieds!
There were fireworks in the air and at times on the track at Riverhead Raceway Saturday during the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series program. When the dust settled Richie Davidowitz of East Moriches had earned his third career Eagle Chevrolet Crate Modified victory, while a popular first career win unfolded in the 25-lap Late Model event where Ed Cheslak of Rocky Point finally grabbed the brass ring.Chase Grennan of Glen Cove is quickly gaining a reputation among the NASCAR Modified ranks at Riverhead Raceway, and it’s one the 18-year-old second generation driver is proud to bear. After Chase survived a wild Oval Speed Unlimited Bubba 150 Saturday earning his third career win, he again sat in victory lane after another signature race at the historic bullring. Grennan started things off by winning the Islip 300 last November, then earlier in June won the 75th Anniversary Flying Dutchman Tribute before his $7,166 triumph in the Bubba 150.
NEWTON, IA (Aug. 3, 2025) – Sam Mayer delivered a milestone victory for the Haas Factory Team (HFT) on Saturday afternoon at Iowa Speedway, capturing the organization’s first-ever win and securing his spot in the NASCAR Xfinity Series playoffs. Mayer took control of the race in the closing laps, seizing the lead from Jesse Love on a late restart and holding firm over the final 28 laps. The win marked the eighth of Mayer’s Xfinity Series career and his first of the 2025 season.
Wiscasset Speedway returned to action on Saturday night with an action-packed Group 2 program that included the lightning-fast NEMA Midgets and NEMA Lites.
The racing action kicked off with the first of two 30-lap features for the Portland Glass Strictly Streets. Brady Romano took off with the early lead, but trouble was on the horizon as Scott Eck and Landon Tapley collided, resulting in a caution. Romano remained strong on the restart but Ben Burgess was on the move, overtaking the lead on lap 10 as Joe Harriman followed in succession. Burgess maintained command following a mid-race restart, picking up his second win of the season in the division. Joe Harriman and Chuck Wagstaff (1st career podium) followed, completing the top 3.

Brett Gilmore of Kutztown, Pa., who has been very fast in recent weeks but has not had any good racing luck, put everything together to out duel Alex Bartorillo of Limerick, Pa. to score the victory in the evening’s 25-lap T.P. Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman feature event.
New 5-Year Agreement Expands on Supercross Partnership to Power Entire SMX Calendar

As reported by Tom Howard of Motorsport, NASCAR champion and Daytona 500 winner Kurt Busch believes the World Rally Championship (WRC) has the potential to crack America after receiving a taste of the series at Rally Finland.
The 2004 NASCAR Cup champion and 2017 Daytona 500 winner made the trip to Finland to experience the WRC for the first time. The 46-year-old has been a long-time admirer of rallying and in 2014 competed in the Monza Rally Show, driving an M-Sport-built Ford Fiesta RS WRC.

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (July 30, 2025) – The NASCAR Cup Series heads to America’s Heartland for the Iowa Corn 350 on Sunday at Iowa Speedway in Newton. While it will be just the second visit the Cup Series has made to the .875-mile oval, the track is not new to NASCAR.
Simon Chapman of SpeedCafe reports that in his second year of racing full-time in the United States, Shane van Gisbergen has his first oval win with victory in the Cook Out Summer Shootout season finale.
Van Gisbergen has been competing on and off in the Legend Cars with compatriot Scott McLaughlin and fellow NASCAR Cup Series racer Bubba Wallace.
