Jeremy Mayfield To Drive For D2 Motorsports Racing In 2025

In an Instagram posting by D2 Motorsports Racing (@d2motorsportsracing), Former NASCAR Cup Series competitor Jeremy Mayfield has just been announced as the team driver for the 2025 season in the Grand National Super Series (@grandnationalsuperseries) (GNSS).

The Grand National Super Series describes themselves as “America’s newest full/steel bodied stock car series!”.  More information can be found on their Instagram page and their website.

GNSS races in the North Carolina and Virginia areas, based on their 2024 schedule.  Tracks include Carteret County Speedway in NC and Lonesome Pines Raceway in VA.

As NASCAR teams and fans celebrate the past this weekend at Darlington Raceway, the Tour-type Modified teams of the Southeast are getting a similar and slightly-impromptu chance to do the same this Saturday at an old hot spot for Modified racing.

With Bowman Gray Stadium’s 2021 Opening Day being pushed to June 5, the SMART Modified Tour has stepped up once again this year, as the tour will head into Virginia for the second time this season, this time to historic Franklin County Speedway. (more…)

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted its first scheduled Friday night race of the 2021 season with a Stafford Weekly Series program on Friday, May 7th.  Michael Christopher outdueled Keith Rocco to win the SK Modified® feature, while both Michael Bennett and Derek Debbis both made it two-for-two in 2021 by winning the Late Model and SK Light feature events respectively.  Rich Hammann scored his first career Stafford feature victory in the Limited Late Model feature, and Travis Hydar won the Street Stock feature.
