Curtis won the Outlaw Late Model main event on day one of the historic oval’s three-day 2024 Fall Challenge event, Streeter had led all the way in the 30-lapper until two blundering backmarkers swept him up in the final turn, as both Curtis and Kyle Goodbout sped by. (more…)

Thompson, CT — After heat race qualifying events set the night’s feature line-ups, the Thompson Late Models took on the Big-T for the final event in their 2024 track championship season. Ryan Morgan and champion hopeful Brian Tagg lined-up alongside one another to lead the Late Models to green with defending champ Nick Johnson holding a 13 point lead over Tagg following the heats. Morgan would get the jump on the dominant outside groove with Johnson in tow as Tagg fell under attack by Derek Gluchacki and Matt Lowinski-Loh. Gluchacki powered under Morgan to take third and set his sights on Johnson at the head of the pack, dueling lap after lap with three-wide racing behind them. (more…)

The $5,000-to-win Dash for Cash will once again feature a $5,000 winner’s share with just a four-tire limit for their 50-lap sprint around the 0.625-mile oval!
With the addition of the Sunoco World Series Dash for Cash on Friday, all three days of the 62n Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing will feature Tour-type Modified competition. CLAREMONT, N.H. – Brian Robie dominated Friday’s Nights 75-lap Modified Racing Series main event at Claremont Motorsports Park, blasting to victory lane as he has many times in the past during his championship summers at the Thrasher Road speedplant.

BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – The 62nd anniversary season of auto racing action at Grandview Speedway moves into the 54th annual Freedom 76 race weekend, the biggest, most prestigious, and most lucrative racing of the year for competitors.
The Freedom 76 weekend begins this Friday, September 20 with the 11th annual Freedom 38 Sportsman Championship race, along with qualifying events, plus practice time for Modified drivers wishing to participate in the Freedom 76.
Friday’s program will be known as Fans for Five Friday as the grandstand admission is just $5, while children ages 9 and under will be free of charge. Pit admission on Friday is $40, and no license is required. (more…)
CLAREMONT, N.H. – Bay State hot shoe Nate Wenzel was crowned the 2024 Sportsman Modified champion Friday night at Claremont Motorsports Park, earning his second open-wheel title in a row while, on the same event card, two drivers earned their first career victory at the Thrasher Road speedplant.
Both first-timers Kyle Kenny and Bradey Lamotte topped their Friday night feature event. Tyler Leary won the night’s Sportsman Modified feature, Super Street ace Chris Riendeau romped to an easy $1,000 win on Frazer’s Place Night, and Seth Drown won a thriller in the Ridge Runners. (more…)

Barre, VT — The Maplefield/Irving Late Models started off McGee Hyundai of Barre Super Friday with their 50-lap trophy dash to kick start Super Friday’s five division showcase. Outside polesitter Taylor Hoar got off to a sour start, careening into the infield on lap one to bring out the early caution. Chip Grenier put the pedal down to lead the restart on the outside groove over Stephen Martin and set the pace out front. The caution flew once more on lap 16 as Christopher Bedard stacked up the middle of the pack in turn four, sending Jason Corliss hard into the Widowmaker frontstretch wall and ending his night early. Sept. 6, 2024, Salt Lake City — Friday qualifying at the 2024 NASA Championships is an interesting proposition. Race drivers have two qualifying sessions to lay down their fastest lap time in an attempt to start from as far forward on grid as possible for the first qualifying race on Saturday.
The morning session is usually the best opportunity to set a fast time. Afternoon sessions give drivers the opportunity to put all their added seat time to good use, but temperatures in the high 80s this afternoon in the Tooele Valley can diminish engine power and decrease the amount of grip on the racing surface. Drivers who lay down a scorcher of a lap in the morning usually set themselves up to be in the best grid position possible. (more…)

Headlined by a visit from the New England Supermodified Series (NESS), the Maplefield/Irving Late Models, Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers and rk Miles Street Stocks have just two events left in the season to decide their champions while the Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors joust in double feature action!
Following his win last Thursday, with his spectacular Labor Day Classic victory not counting towards weekly King of the Road standings, Milton’s Scott Dragon remains in striking distance of Kaiden Fisher’s lead on the Maplefield/Irving Late Models. Dragon has come on strong in recent weeks but has already had a stellar season with the Todd Rueda-owned, CDR Concrete team having taken both the Vermont Governor’s Cup and the Labor Day Classic along with the inaugural Squier Cup triple crown! Williamson, NY – (September 1, 2024) – Ron Silk of Norwalk, CT, drove to his first-ever Race of Champions Modified Series victory this past Friday night at Spencer Speedway in Williamson, NY, and it was in one of the most lucrative victories in the history of the Speedway, with over $54,000 in purse money for the Modified event. Silk took home $11,000 for his efforts in what is considered the best per lap for Modified racing in the region.
Silk started 5th and slipped past Jake Lutz of Hamburg, NY, on a restart when Lutz missed a shift. From that point Lutz pressured Silk all the way to the checkered flag, however, it was to no avail as Silk narrowly earned the victory.

Barre, VT — Thunder Road and American-Canadian Tour (ACT) officials announced today a small change in schedule for the 46th Labor Day Classic 200 program presented by NEFCU/VSECU on Sunday, September 1. The annual 200 lap affair will continue to be held on Sunday, September 1 but will move to an evening special with an afternoon Post Time of 4:00pm.
The annual Labor Day weekend special has annually been held with a 1:30pm post time but Thunder Road and ACT officials have cited several reasons for the move. “Moving to 4:00pm will hopefully eliminate the need for teams to find a place to stay overnight Saturday and still get home at a decent hour Sunday night,” said Thunder Road and ACT managing partner Cris Michaud. “The side-by-side racing on Thursday nights has been fantastic this season and ACT under the lights at Thunder Road is sure to be a great show!” (more…)

Only five races remain in the NASCAR Xfinity Series regular season and things are sure to heat up as drivers get ready to race under the lights this Friday, August 23 at Daytona International Speedway for the Wawa 250 Powered by Coca-Cola at 7:30 p.m. ET on the USA Network, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
The 2.5-mile superspeedway, located in beautiful Daytona Beach, Florida, has hosted 65 Xfinity Series races, producing 37 different race winners and 44 different pole winners.
