BRISTOL, Tenn. — Joe Gibbs Racing drivers Ty Gibbs and Sammy Smith could not have executed the plan more perfectly.

With both the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota and the No. 81 Engine Ice Toyota parked on the Bristol Motor Speedway frontstretch, facing each other with their bumpers touching, each driver roared his engine and punished his General Tires for an epic double burnout. (more…)

Truex Jr. Wins As Joe Gibbs Racing Finishes 1-2-3

Martin Truex, Jr. started the race with a penalty on the first lap. Denny Hamlin controlled the start and may have spun his wheels but it didn’t matter. NASCAR rule states that you may not beat the polesitter to the start finish line and MTJ certainly did that, tire spinning or not. Hamlin is pretty sly on restarts and even if he didn’t spin his tires, he will definitely play the restart to bait his opponent into a mistake.

WEST ALLIS, Wis. — The last time the ARCA Menards Series was on track, a week ago on the Springfield dirt at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, Ty Gibbs failed to lead a lap for the first time all season.

Time was of the essence on Saturday as a thunderstorm was barreling toward Talladega Superspeedway in the middle of the NASCAR Xfinity Series race.
