After Dominating White Mountain New Hampshire Governor’s Cup, Renfrew Loses Out in Tech

N. Woodstock, NH — A great crowd filed into White Mountain Motorsports Park Saturday night for the second round in the Wall’s Ford Platinum Late Model Series. The Kid’s Bike and Scooter giveaway also called in the kids and families to experience a fun night at the races!

The Fisher Auto Parts Flying Tigers got Saturday’s showcase off and running with Nate Hamblett taking off with the lead under the green flag. A stalemate battle for fourth between Logan Powers, Tyler Pepin, Matt Potter and Shane Sicard finally broke by the halfway point with Sicard running away to chase down Hamblett. Without the aid of a caution flag, Sicard could only settle for second with Nate Hamblett walking away for his second career Flying Tiger win with Luke Peters rounding out the podium.

New Hampshire Governor’s Cup Kicks Off Big Doubleheader Weekend as Final Test & Tune for 8th Milton CAT 250 on August 2nd At White Mountain

The New Hampshire Governor’s Cup 100 headlines the Saturday showcase with the 1764 Sports Bar & Grill Late Models taking center stage in the final Test & Tune for the 8thannual Milton CAT Midsummer Classic 250 on August 2 followed by the rain-delayed, three-division PASS Spectacular on Sunday!

Jason Corliss Dominates to All-Time Tying Fourth Vermont Lottery Governor’s Cup 150

Barre, VT – Another Thursday in Barre meant yet another race day at Thunder Road Speedbowl affected by the rains of Mother Nature. Just ten minutes prior to the special 6:30pm Vermont Lottery Governor’s Cup Post Time, rains swept in for a half-hour spell with successful track drying getting Thursday’s program underway by 7:30pm.

The poor weather necessitated a change in schedule with the Maplefields/Irving Oil Late Models getting feature racing off and running with the 46th running of the Vermont Lottery Governor’s Cup 150. A Plus/Minus handicap draw event as part of the Squier Cup presented by Milton CAT, the Governor’s Cup saw four-time winner Jason Corliss earn an incredible +7 in Heat #1 with former Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour champion Jimmy Hebert to his outside at the start.

46th Vermont Lottery Governor’s Cup Continues All-Important Month of July at Thunder Road

Barre, VT – The busy, hot month of July continues its all-importance in the track title chase for the Thunder Road faithful this Thursday, July 17 with the 46th running of the Vermont Lottery Governor’s Cup 150 for the Maplefields/Irving Late Models. The ‘Thunder and Lightning’ division of Barre’s Thunder Road goes for their longest point-counting showdown of the summer season with a chance at joining a who’s-who of all time greats on the Vermont Governor’s Cup.

Dragon Uses Late Race Restart to Surge Ahead for Third Vermont Governor’s Cup Victory

Barre, VT — Rain once again played its part in a Thursday at Thunder Road after plenty of the wet stuff fell from the sky to delay the start of practice on WDEV/Calkins Portable Toilets night. Officials remained persistent and dried the track on three separate occasions with the sun helping out on the final session.

Thunder Road Postpones Governor’s Cup in Wake of Torrential Flooding Across Vermont

Barre, VT — Due to the severity of the flooding to our community, local businesses, racers and fans, Officials have postponed the 44th running of the Vermont Governor’s Cup by the Vermont Lottery originally scheduled for Thursday, July 13th. With well over 100 roads washed out across the area, along with flooding in homes, businesses and Thunder Road’s own office building in downtown Barre, Officials postponed the event to allow people the necessary time to assess their situations and plan accordingly. ACT Returns to Lee USA Speedway This Sunday for New Hampshire Governor’s Cup 150

Barre, VT — Although it will be a grueling third event in just two weeks, American-Canadian Tour officials, fans and teams are excited to return to Lee USA Speedway for the New Hampshire Governor’s Cup 150. The Granite State seacoast oval has played host to the ACT Tour twenty-eight times since 1987 with some of the most iconic stars taking down wins on the quirky circuit. Last time out in 2021, defending ACT Tour champion D.J. Shaw took down his first ever win in North America’s most historic Late Model tour and looks to add his name to the wins list once again.
