After a nine-year hiatus, the Vermont Department of Liquor and Lottery returns to present the 43rd Vermont Governor’s Cup 150 on Thursday, July 14. One of the most iconic races in the state of Vermont, the Vermont Lottery Governor’s Cup annually serves as the opening event in the New England NASCAR weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Woodstock, NH — St. Johnsbury, VT’s Stacy Cahoon finally snapped out of a season-long skid with a victory in the New Hampshire Governor’s Cup at White Mountain Motorsports Park on Saturday, July 24. The reigning Foley Oil & Propane Late Model champion inherited the lead following a crash just past the quarter-pole in the 100-lap special and went on to his first victory of the year.
Barre, VT — Hometown racer Jason Corliss left NASCAR’s Ryan Preece and everyone else behind on the way to his second straight Essex Equipment Vermont Governor’s Cup victory at Barre’s Thunder Road on Thursday, July 15.
