(May 12, 2025) – AO Racing’s beloved pink dinosaur, Roxy, made a triumphant return to the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship by clinching her first-ever GTD PRO class victory at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. The win comes exactly one year after her green sibling, Rexy, secured AO Racing’s inaugural IMSA triumph at the same track exactly one year ago, adding another chapter to the ongoing sibling rivalry.
ST. CHARLES, Ill., (December 5, 2024) — AO Racing has officially confirmed its return to the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship for the 2025 season, bringing Rexy, the beloved Porsche 911 GT3 “Rawr,” back to the GTD PRO class. With an all-star lineup in place, the team is ready to defend its championship title. Laurin Heinrich, the 2024 Drivers’ Champion returns to continue building on the success of last season. Speed is seldom the primary objective of pre-season testing, although any of the 31 participants in the IMSA test at Daytona International Speedway would take pride in topping the timing screens.
For most teams and manufacturers, the November test is mostly about integrating new personnel and learning how their cars react to changes in chassis setup and atmospheric conditions. There’s no substitute for time on track when it comes to learning. (more…)
