ST. CHARLES, Ill. (December 11, 2024) – AO Racing’s beloved dragon, Spike, is ready to spread his wings for his sophomore season in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The team has unveiled an impressive driver lineup for its seven-race campaign, led by returning driver PJ Hyett in the distinctive purple-and-orange LMP2 machine. Four-time IMSA Champion Dane Cameron will join Hyett for the full-season effort, while Jonny Edgar and Christian Rasmussen round out the roster for endurance events, including the season-opening Rolex 24 At Daytona. CHARLES, Ill., (December 5, 2024) — AO Racing has officially confirmed its return to the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship for the 2025 season, bringing Rexy, the beloved Porsche 911 GT3 “Rawr,” back to the GTD PRO class. With an all-star lineup in place, the team is ready to defend its championship title. Laurin Heinrich, the 2024 Drivers’ Champion returns to continue building on the success of last season. SALINAS, Calif., (May 10, 2023) – Rexy, the beloved dinosaur-wrapped AO Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R heads to the Monterey Peninsula this weekend for MOTUL Course de Monterey Powered By Hyundai N. Following an on-track incident in the FIA World Endurance Championship race at Spa-Francorchamps, full-season IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship driver PJ Hyett suffered a lumbar sprain and has decided to opt out of this weekend’s festivities at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.
