Hailie Deegan Joins Nitrocross field for Utah
Hailie Deegan will race in next weekend’s Nitrocross event at Utah Motorsports Campus, returning to the series for the first time since 2021.
Deegan will compete in the Side-by-Side class in a field that also includes Lucy, Mika, and Kira Block – the wife, son, and daughter of Ken Block – and Travis Pastrana, invoking memories of the early days of U.S. rallycross where Block Sr., Pastrana, and Hailie’s father Brian all competed. (more…)
Even More Star Power Added to the SpeedTour All-Star Race
CHARLOTTE (July 15, 2024) – With just days until the green flag waves for the SpeedTour All-Star Race at Lime Rock Park, even more celebrities have been added to an already star-studded lineup. Parella Motorsports Holdings (PMH) has confirmed modified and NASCAR legend Geoff Bodine as the Grand Marshal for the event, while two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Al Unser Jr. will serve as the color commentator for the national TV broadcast that will air live on MAVTV and the SpeedTour TV YouTube Channel. Alex Bowman won the rain shortened Grant Park 165 street race to take his official spot in the Cup playoffs. Bowman broke an 80-race drought that included him sidelined for a spell and wondering when he would ever see Victory Lane again.

Kicking off six consecutive Thursday nights of prime time racing action, the Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) Series makes its debut on ESPN on Thursday, July 13, at 9 p.m. ET, bringing “Thursday Night Thunder” back to ESPN. Leading a race-high 82 laps, McAnally-Hilgemann Racing’s Christian Eckes survived some late race overtime chaos to take the win in Darlington Raceway last weekend. Eckes was able to hold off several drivers, including polesitter Corey Heim, Cup Series regular William Byron, and Stewart Friesen to take the win.

Of the six different race winners at Atlanta since the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series returned to the 1.5-mile circuit in 2015 after a two-year break, five are in the field for Saturday’s Fr8Auctions 200 (2:30 p.m. ET on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).
Grant Enfinger (2020), Kyle Busch (2019), Brett Moffitt (2018), John Hunter Nemechek (2016) and Matt Crafton (2015) are all looking to capture the checkered flag once again in Georgia. The only winner from that span not in the race is Christopher Bell (2017 winner).
