Brent Marks and Rico Abreu, the two previous winners of the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series Rich Mar Florist Kubota High Limit 410 sprint events presented by Levan Machine & Truck Equipment will be chasing that checker flag again at Grandview Speedway Tuesday night, May 20. A hefty $20,000 first place prize is on the line for the winner of the 35 lap High Limit event that is also part of the Roto-Rooter MIDWEEK Series. In addition, if the race winner is a Pennsylvania driver, they will pocket an additional $2,000 bonus courtesy of Alpine Building Supply. In last year’s event local favorite Brent Marks collected the $2,000 PA driver bonus. It was the first Thunder on the Hill victory for Marks after nineteen starts at the Bechtelsville, PA speedway.

The thirty-sixth season of the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series will kickoff at the Grandview Speedway on Tuesday night, May 20 when Levan Machine & Truck Equipment present the Rich Mar Florist Kubota High Limit 410 Sprints in the Roto-Rooter Mid-Week Series. The top 410 sprint car drivers in the country will be chasing a $20,000 first place prize for winning the 35 lap event. Rico Aberu won the inaugural running of the High Limit 410 Sprints at Grandview in 2023 with local favorite Brent Marks winning the 2024 edition of the show and collecting the $2,000 PA driver bonus.
Pikes Peak International Hill Climb Set For June 4-7, 2025
Commissioned by Thomas Jefferson to explore the Great Plains, Lt. Zebulon Pike first saw Pikes Peak from the eastern portion of today’s Colorado in 1806. As he approached the magnificent peak, rising abruptly from the plains, Pike swore this mountain would never be climbed by man.

WELCOME, N.C. (March 24, 2025) – Richard Childress Racing announced today that Austin Hill and United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental company, will return to NASCAR Cup Series competition for a limited schedule in 2025. In the first of five starts, Hill will drive the No. 33 United Rentals Chevrolet at the historic Darlington Raceway on April 6. Andy Street will crew chief the part-time entry and make his debut calling the shots in the Cup Series.
Austin Hill Hopes To Rebound From Xfinity Series Misfortune at Phoenix Raceway

A race-ending mistake last Saturday at Phoenix Raceway cost Austin Hill the NASCAR Xfinity Series lead.
Just 61 laps into the fourth event of the season, Hill bounced off the inside wall in Turn 3 and collected the cars of Sheldon Creed and Dean Thompson. Hill finished 37th and fell to fourth in the standings as Richard Childress Racing teammate Jesse Love took over the points lead with a ninth-place finish.

So far this season, Richard Childress Racing is batting 1.000, having swept all available Playoff points in the first two races of the year.
Jesse Love won the season opener at Daytona in the No. 2 RCR Chevrolet. A week later, Austin Hill put the No. 21 RCR Camaro in Victory Lane at Atlanta for the fifth time in the last six races at the 1.54-mile drafting track.

There might be some confusion in the Xfinity Series at a couple dates this season, as there will be two drivers named Austin Hill competing at three race.
Of course, Austin Hill of Richard Childress Racing has been a mainstay in the Xfinity Series over the past couple of seasons, elevating to become one of the top wheelmen on the circuit. He won last weekend’s race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, bringing the 30-year old’s total to 11 career victories.
