David Steward II’s Lion Forge Films (Academy Award®-winning Hair Love), and parent company Polarity, a leading black-owned entertainment holding company, have inked a deal with Scott 34 Racing, creating Wendell Scott Ventures to introduce the iconic and groundbreaking life and legacy of Wendell Scott, NASCAR’s first black racer (and later, owner), to audiences through films, TV series, docu-series, digital content, games, and more through an extensive multi-platform engagement.
Beard Motorsports enters this year’s Daytona 500 solemnly but with a tremendous amount of pride in the contributions its founder and president, Mark Beard Sr., made to his family, his friends, his businesses and his favorite endeavor – NASCAR. Mr. Beard passed away on Jan. 31. He was passionate about racing and the businesses he built with his family, and even though he will be terribly missed, his work ethic and kind heart lives on with the many people he influenced.
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Jan. 26, 2021) – The NASCAR Foundation today announced two key additions to its Board of Directors, further strengthening the organization’s leadership and strategic relationships within the racing industry. Veteran race car driver Hurley Haywood and Rev Racing Co-owner Dr. Jennifer Satterfield-Siegel accepted nominations to join the board led by Chairman Mike Helton.
