Three Cup Races, and Three Surprise Winners
At the end of the night, youngster William Byron took the checkered flag at Homestead besting a hard charging Tyler Reddick.
Byron joins McDowell and Bell as early winners this season who are payoff bound ahead of the expected veteran racers. Many analysts thought this would be the race for Joe Gibbs Racing with either Bell repeating or seeing one of his strong veteran teammates in victory lane. (more…)
Santino Ferrucci Has Hard Act to Follow in Xfinity Series Debut
Though only 22-years old, Santino Ferrucci of Ridgefield, CT already has a long history in motorsports, but none of that experience has come in stock cars.
A professional driver since age 14, Ferrucci spent two years as a test driver for the Haas F1 team, before turning to IndyCar full-time in 2019. That same year, he finished seventh in the Indianapolis 500 to earn Rookie of the Year honors. (more…)

Gibbs, who was making his first career start in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, won the race in the No. 54 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing and added his name to the list of drivers that won in their first Xfinity start. JGR Announces Remainder of Ty Gibbs NASCAR Xfinity Series Schedule for 2021
HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (February 23, 2021) – Joe Gibbs Racing announces today the remaining NASCAR Xfinity Series races scheduled for driver Ty Gibbs in 2021.
Gibbs, who will be competing for a championship and running the full ARCA Menards Series schedule this season in the No. 18 Toyota Camry, is currently scheduled to run an additional 14 races in the NASCAR Xfinity Series after winning his debut this past weekend behind the wheel of the No. 54 Toyota Supra.
