How New Englanders Did At Richmond Over the Weekend
In Sunday’s afternoon’s NASCAR Cup race at RIR Alex Bowman’s late race surge brought him into Victory Lane at Richmond International Raceway in VA.  Middletown, CT’s ended his day in third place after being in the hunt all day long.  Corey LaJoie finished his day in 21st and is the son of two-time Xfinity Champion Randy Lajoie a native of Norwalk, CT.  Berlin, CT’s Ryan Preece finished 29th while Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT wound up 31st.

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series News & Notes – Atlanta Motor Speedway

Of the six different race winners at Atlanta since the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series returned to the 1.5-mile circuit in 2015 after a two-year break, five are in the field for Saturday’s Fr8Auctions 200 (2:30 p.m. ET on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).

Grant Enfinger (2020), Kyle Busch (2019), Brett Moffitt (2018), John Hunter Nemechek (2016) and Matt Crafton (2015) are all looking to capture the checkered flag once again in Georgia. The only winner from that span not in the race is Christopher Bell (2017 winner).

His reason for pairing up with Kyle Busch Motorsports for the 2021 season was clear – he wanted to win.

Sunday’s Cup race at Vegas saw Kyle Larson take down the win while Joey Logano of Middletown, CT ended up 9th with Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT came in 15th, Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT was 24th then Corey Lajoie, son of two-time Xfinity titlist Randy Lajoie of Norwalk, CT, went out early on due to an accident and ended the day in 37th place.
