(Stafford Springs, CT)—After a season long duel between himself and Chris Meyer, Frank L’Etoile, Jr. used a 6th place finish in the NAPA Championship Night Street Stock feature event to become the 2021 Street Stock champion at Stafford Speedway. The championship is the third Street Stock championship of L’Etoile’s career at Stafford, joining the titles he won in 2014 and 2015.
All the sweat, the tears, the heart-warming pains and the back breaking gains have all culminated to this one last shot for the Championship 4 contenders to vie for the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series Championship this Sunday at 3 p.m. ET (NBC, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) at Phoenix Raceway.

Martin Truex, Jr. started the race with a penalty on the first lap. Denny Hamlin controlled the start and may have spun his wheels but it didn’t matter. NASCAR rule states that you may not beat the polesitter to the start finish line and MTJ certainly did that, tire spinning or not. Hamlin is pretty sly on restarts and even if he didn’t spin his tires, he will definitely play the restart to bait his opponent into a mistake.
