With the big dogs of NASCAR in town, a handful of tracks in New England took this past weekend off from racing festivities. Wiscasset Speedway capitalized on the opportunity and kept the train rolling with an action-packed Group #1 program featuring the Sweatt’s Concrete Thunder 4 Minis, Norm’s Used Cars Pro Stocks, Brackett’s Market 4-Cylinder Pros, Market 27 Super Streets and even the T&L Automotive Enduro Series for the second enduro of the season.

Drellos starts title defense with a big win at Devil’s Bowl
WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Demetrios Drellos picked up right where he left off last year: On top at Devil’s Bowl Speedway. The reigning Sportsman Modified champion opened the new season on Saturday, May 1, with a dominant win during a wildly unpredictable night presented by Mike’s Fuels of Bridport. A total of 118 racecars jammed the pit area and outer parking lot as a nice spectator crowd filtered in for the 2021 lid-lifter, and Drellos collected a whopping $3,200 for his victory in the race honoring the late Matt Bilodeau. Huge New Season on the Horizon at Devil’s Bowl Speedway

Logano Left Puzzled After Runner-up Finish at Phoenix
Joey Logano didn’t lose the Instacart 500 at Phoenix Raceway because of a lousy last restart or a vibration. Logano admitted afterward that even if he had broken away from Martin Truex Jr. on the final restart, he would probably have been overtaken by Truex at some point during the run to the checkered flag.

TIRE AND FUEL PURCHASES WILL BE DIFFERENT AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY THIS SEASON
There will be a change in the way fuel is provided to racers at Grandview Speedway this season and the official tire supplier will be Grandview Speedway with American Racer remaining as the official track tire. (more…)
