Sullivan Wins SK Light Double Down at Stafford; Kopcik, Gray, Clement, & Hydar Also Score Feature Wins
(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway returned to racing action on Friday, May 26 with the SK Lights taking center stage with their first of two 40-lap Double Down extra distance feature events for the 2023 season. Brian Sullivan was the big winner of the night taking down his second win of the 2023 season in the 40-lap SK Light feature event.
Kopcik Returns to Speedbowl Victory Lane In SK Modifieds®; Morgan Tops Late Model Field
WATERFORD – Stephen Kopcik jumped in the second SK Modified® for Ferguson Motorsports for the first time on September 3rd. In only his third start, he was able to park it in victory lane for the first time in the division. His one and only win at the shoreline oval came back in 2013 driving a Legend Car on Wild ‘n Wacky Wednesday.
Kopcik Makes it Three-for-Three on Twisted Tea Tuesday at the ‘Big T’
Thompson, CT — The sights and sounds of Thompson Speedway reopened on Twisted Tea Tuesday last night in the heart of Northeast Connecticut. Four divisions made up the extra money, extra distance program with a spectacular fireworks presentation rounding out the show. In the end, four ultra-fast and competitive individuals stood victorious in O’Reilly Auto Parts Victory Lane, all of whom went home with a little extra change in their pockets. (more…)

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway returned to racing action with a Kids Night / Weekly Series program on Friday, June 3rd. The kids big wheel race was won by Adam Gray’s 6-year-old son Jacob. Stephen Kopcik came up a winner for the second consecutive week in the SK Modified® feature while it was a big night for the Gray family as Adam Gray won the Late Model feature and his 6-year-old son Jacob won the Kids Big Wheel race. (Stafford Springs, CT)— Stafford Speedway hosted Weekly Racing action on Friday, September 24 with all 5 of its divisions in feature action. The SK Modified® feature saw Todd Owen declared the winner after post-race inspection determined that original feature winner Stephen Kopcik and third place finisher Jon Puleo did not meet rule 20E – 12.3 Coil Over Shocks and both cars were disqualified from the feature finish. (Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted First Responder Friday on September 10 with the TC 13 Shootout joining Stafford’s five weekly divisions in feature action. The SK Modified® division ran their regularly scheduled 40-lap feature as well as the 3rd Annual TC 13 Shootout, a 13-lap race contested between the top-13 finishers from the 40-lap feature that paid the winner an extra $1,313 from a purse of over $7,000.
