(Stafford Springs, CT)—After 3 races, the 2025 SK Modified® season at Stafford sees Michel Christopher, Jr. and the #82 New England Turf / Eastport Feeds / P.T. Watts / Constantine Paving / McKinney Construction team sitting atop the points. Christopher has been consistent as well as fast in 2025, being one of only 2 drivers to record a top-10 finish in each of the first three events. Although Christopher is leading the standings for the first time in his 11-year SK Modified® career, he is still looking for his first win of the season.

Rocco, Coury, Matthews, Surdell, & Ouellette Score AZ Roofing Kids Night Feature Wins at Stafford Speedway

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted AZ Roofing Kids Night on Friday, May 30th, the first of three kids nights scheduled for the 2025 season. Keith Rocco was a SK Modified® winner for a second consecutive race, while Wayne Coury, Jr. won the Late Model feature, Chris Matthews won the SK Light feature, RJ Surdell won the Limited Late Model feature, and Bert Ouellette was a winner for the second time in 2025 in the Street Stock feature. There were two kids big wheel races with Memphis Genereux and Evan DaRos the winners.

Brian Sullivan Looking to Continue Stafford Extra Distance Mastery in Monaco Ford SK Light Double Down

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Over the past 2 seasons at Stafford Speedway, when it comes to extra distance racing in the SK Light division, Brian Sullivan and the #46 Monaco Ford team have been the combination to beat. Sullivan swept a pair of 40-lap feature events during the 2023 season and he is the defending champion of the Monaco Ford Double Down. With Monaco Ford sponsoring this Friday night’s 40-lap feature event as well as sponsoring his #46 car, Sullivan has some extra motivation to take home yet another extra distance checkered flag.

Rocco, Varricchio, Hovey, Clement, & Plemons Score May 16 Weekly Feature Wins at Stafford Speedway

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted Weekly Racing on Friday, May 16th with SK Lights taking part in a special 30-lap extra distance feature. The night saw Keith Rocco win the 40-lap SK Modified® feature in a thrilling finish between himself, Jon Puleo, and Michael Christopher, Jr. that saw several lead changes and a 3-wide move in the final laps before Rocco came away with the checkered flag. Other winners on the night were Paul Varricchio, Jr. in the Late Model feature, Nickolas Hovey in the SK Light feature, Matt Clement in the Limited Late Model feature, and Aaron Plemons in the Street Stock feature. Varricchio, Hovey, and Clement were all repeat winners from NAPA Spring Sizzler® Weekend.

Silk Maintains Tour-Type Modified Mastery At Thompson Speedway In RaceChoice.com 75

Thompson, CT — Ronnie Williams and Stephen Kopcik brought the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series to green for the RaceChoice.com 75 Wednesday night with Williams taking the early lead ahead of Patrick Emerling. After peeking to the inside, Emerling finally made the turn-three power-move to lead lap 18 before Joey Mucciacciaro’s hard lick with the third turn wall. With the choose-cone in play, Jake Johnson nabbed the lead on the ensuing restart underneath Emerling as Ron Silk entered the top three picture. Hard contact between Silk and Emerling in turn four on lap 40 saw both right their open-wheeled machines but it was Silk gaining the on-track advantage to begin knocking down Johnson’s seven-car-length lead.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted the 53rd Annual NAPA Spring Sizzler® along with its five weekly divisions on Sunday, April 27th. Feature winners on the day were Jon Puleo in the SK Modified® feature, Paul Varricchio, Jr. in the Late Model feature, Nickolas Hovey and Brian Sullivan were the winners of the two 20-lap SK Light duels that will set the starting field for the SK Light 30-lap feature on the Friday, May 9 Weekly Racing card, Matt Clement in the Limited Late Model feature, and Bert Ouellette in the Street Stock feature.

Silk Doubles Down on Mighty Icebreaker Modified Wins with NASCAR Triumph (Full Results)

Thompson, CT — A cool spring breeze complemented the hot, on-track action Wednesday night at Thompson Speedway as the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour finally returned to Connecticut to finish off the 51st Icebreaker festivities.

The SK Light Modifieds started off feature racing on Wednesday night with the #45 of rookie competitor TJ Tomasi climbing the #6 of veteran Todd Douillard under the initial green flag start. Righted after a quick debris clean-up, Nick Hovey and Sami Anderson went head-to-head with Hovey getting the jump off turn two. Veteran John O’Sullivan also slid under Anderson to chase after Hovey as Gerard Giordano entered the picture in fourth. A quick spin caution for rookie Sophya Papp saw O’Sullivan rocket to the restart lead around an ailing Nick Hovey but it was Hovey who powered back with a slingshot move to claim the lead and the win in the final corner. John O’Sullivan settled for second with Sami Anderson taking third after Giordano was disqualified for an unsealed engine.

Thompson, CT — After rain has wreaked havoc on early season plans for Thompson Speedway, the rest of the ice is ready to break this Wednesday, April 16. The second portion of the planned 51st Icebreaker weekend is finally set to go green this Wednesday at 5:15pm with the Thompson Sunoco Modifieds, Late Models, SK Light Modifieds and Street Stocks set to join the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Icebreaker 150 presented by FloSports.com highlighting the night!
