NOTEBOOK: Bobby Labonte, Ryan Newman Headline Talented Modified Tour North Wilkesboro Entry List
There is no shortage of star power as the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour heads to North Wilkesboro Speedway this Sunday for the Brushy Mountain Powersports 150.
Headlining the entry list are two NASCAR Cup Series legends – 2008 Daytona 500 winner Ryan Newman and 2000 series champion Bobby Labonte. Newman is piloting the No. 77 Modified for Mike Curb, while Labonte is in the No. 38 for Sadler-Stanley Racing. (more…)
The Future Looks Bright for Super DIRT Week at Oswego
Brian Carter is the owner and CEO of the World Racing Group that just completed a successful Super DIRT Week 52 at the Oswego Speedway last week.
“It was by far our most successful Super DIRT Week in the nine years the event has been run at Oswego,” said Carter. “The racing was good, attendance was great, track conditions were smooth and fast and we had a record car count of 313.

Justin Bonsignore Heading For Doubleheader at North Wilkesboro Speedway

Three-time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion Justin Bonsignore will compete in two events this weekend at North Wilkesboro Speedway. Bonsignore will make his first start in the SMART Modified Tour, driving the No. 51 for Ken Massa Motorsports in the 99-lap SMART season finale on Saturday evening. On Sunday, Bonsignore returns to NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour racing in the Brushy Mountain Powersports 150, the penultimate race of the season.

NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Returns to North Wilkesboro Speedway For Crucial Championship Tilt
After the race was postponed for two weeks due to Hurricane Helene‘s impact on the Appalachain Mountains, North Wilkesboro Speedway is set to host the penultimate event of the 2024 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season.
Last year saw NASCAR‘s oldest division visit North Wilkesboro for the first time in its long, prestigious history. A field of 38 cars showed up to take the green flag, with veteran Matt Hirschman bringing home the victory over the championship frontrunners in Ron Silk and Justin Bonsignore. (more…)
Tom Carey III Dominates Sunoco World Series 75 for Fourth-Career ACT Tour Victory at Thompson

Thompson, CT — Out-of-character weather greeted the American-Canadian Tour faithful with clear skies and plenty of sunshine on Sunoco World Series Saturday at Thompson Speedway. Windham, Maine’s Brandon Barker earned the pole position in the Chad Sullivan-owned Epping Express with New Salem, Massachusetts-driver Tom Carey III bringing Roger McHugh’s Brookside Ride an outside pole starting spot in Plus/Minus heat race qualifying. Drama sparked pit-side following qualifying action with both Erick Sands and Derek Gluchacki disqualified from their heat race results with both deemed too wide in post-heat tech inspection. (more…)
