35th Annual Tribute To Tommy Druar And Tony Jankowiak Up Next For Race Of Champions Modified Series At Lancaster Motorplex For Rescheduled Race Sunday, October 13

– 110-lap Feature $5,000-to-Win for Race of Champions Modified Series –

Lancaster N.Y. – (October 7, 2024) – The Race of Champions Modified Series will make its second and final visit of the season to Lancaster (N.Y.) Motorplex this coming Sunday, October 13 for the rescheduled 35th Annual Tribute to Tommy Druar and Tony Jankowiak.

The Race of Champions Modified Series feature will compete in a 110-lap race with the ability to change one tire during the race. It will be the final race of the season, Zane Zeiner of Bath, PA, is seeking his second consecutive Series championship in a competitive season.

Perry, NY – (October 7, 2024) – Joe Evans of Holland, NY, started 9^th, patiently worked his way through the field, took the lead late in the 75-lap feature and went on to win the Race of Champions Sportsman Modified Series portion of the traditional “Fall Shootout” at Wyoming County International Speedway “The Bullring” in Perry, NY, this past Saturday.

It was Evans first Series victory and it made him the 9^th different winner for the 2024 season.

Barre, VT — Starting off the 62nd Vermont Milk Bowl weekend in style, Booth Bros./Hood Qualifying Day set the tone for the annual end-of-season extravaganza at Barre’s Thunder Road. Forty-seven American-Canadian Tour / Maplefields-Irving Late Models took on the highbanks in the once-a-year single car time trials with Kaiden Fisher and Derek Gluchacki taking fast time before technical inspection stripped them of their efforts with tread width deemed too wide by officials. (Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted its final Friday night race program of the 2024 season with NAPA Auto Parts Championship Night on October 4. Feature wins were notched by Michael Christopher, Jr. in the SK Modified® feature, Adam Gray in the Late Model feature, Josh Morrison in the SK Light feature, Matt Clement in the Limited Late Model feature, and Travis Hydar in the Street Stock feature. Tyler Chapman had already secured the SK Light track championship last week and the other 2024 track champions are Andrew Molleur in the SK Modified® division, Kevin Gambacorta for the second consecutive season in the Late Model division, Matt Clement in the Limited Late Model division, and Travis Downey in the Street Stock feature. (Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Motor Speedway will host NAPA Champions Night this Friday, Oct. 4 with the track crowning its 2024 champions. Steven Chapman locked up the SK Light track championship with two wins last Friday and Saturday, Sept. 27 & 28, including the 40-lap King of the Crate event. With Chapman already knowing he is the 2024 SK Light champion, there are still 4 track titles to be decided in the SK Modified®, Late Model, Limited Late Model, and Street Stock divisions.

Josh St. Clair Wins 2nd Consecutive Strictly Shootout at Wiscasset Speedway

Wiscasset Speedway closed out their 2024 points season on Saturday and celebrated by hosting their biggest Strictly Street race of the year; the Strictly Shootout presented by Thayer’s Automotive. With a guaranteed $600 winner’s payout and thousands of dollars of contingency prizes on the line, 40 drivers showed up to shoot their shot at making it into the big dance.

The racing action kicked off with three extended 12-lap heat races for the Strictly Shootout, where the top 6 drivers from each qualifier would advance into the big show. Dan Brown, Dan McKeage, Jr. and Landon Tapley won these heats while heavy hitters like Jordan Russell, Nate Leavitt, Zack Emerson and others were forced into consolation races.
