(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Motor Speedway welcomed the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour to Stafford Speedway for its first of three visits of the 2021 season on Friday, April 30 for the NAPA Auto Parts Spring Sizzler. Patrick Emerling capitalized on a late race move that saw race leaders Ryan Preece and Ron Silk come together and spin right before rain hit Stafford Motor Speedway to inherit the lead and win the 49th Annual NAPA Spring Sizzler, which was called with 130 of 150 laps complete. Justin Bonsignore Hoping To Extend Riverhead Raceway Win Streak To Five In Miller Lite 200 Saturday May 15th
Defending NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion Justin Bonsignore of Holtsville will return to where it all began for him when the tour makes its first of three visits to Riverhead Raceway Saturday May 15th and with him bring a four race WMT win streak into the Miller Lite 200. The third week of May date is the earliest the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour has ever visited the eastern Long Island facility since it’s inception in 1985. Stan Mertz Racing To Open 2021 Season At Monadnock Speedway
WHITINSVILLE, Mass. — After a long offseason, Stan Mertz Racing will open the 2021 season on Saturday, May 1, at Monadnock Speedway in New Hampshire. With driver Woody Pitkat at the controls, the team is set to compete in the opener of the Tri Track Open Modified Series season. It will be the first of 10 planned races for Stan Mertz Racing this calendar year, and will begin the quest for the championship on the competitive Tri Track circuit. (more…)
Kaz Grala’s Talladega Top 10 ‘Another Piece of the Puzzle’ for Full-Time Ride
Both Kaz Grala of Boston, MA and Kaulig Racing continue to impress in each of their NASCAR Cup Series outings.
Grala piloted Kaulig’s No. 16 Chevy to a sixth-place finish in the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway on April 25, the best Cup finish to date for the young driver and team. The result completed a stellar weekend for the team, as Kaulig went to victory lane in the NASCAR Xfinity Series the day before via Jeb Burton‘s first career win. (more…)

R.A.D. Auto Machine Providing Rookie of the Year Bonus and Limited Late Model Contingency at Stafford Speedway
For the 9th consecutive year, rookie drivers in Stafford Speedway’s SK Light, Limited Late Model, and Street Stock divisions will all be racing for a $500 end of season bonus that will be provided by R.A.D. Auto Machine of Ludlow, MA. The highest finishing rookie drivers in each division will receive a $500 bonus and all drivers who have made less than 5 division starts in previous seasons are eligible to compete in the R.A.D. How New Englanders Did At Richmond Over the Weekend
In Sunday’s afternoon’s NASCAR Cup race at RIR Alex Bowman’s late race surge brought him into Victory Lane at Richmond International Raceway in VA. Middletown, CT’s ended his day in third place after being in the hunt all day long. Corey LaJoie finished his day in 21st and is the son of two-time Xfinity Champion Randy Lajoie a native of Norwalk, CT. Berlin, CT’s Ryan Preece finished 29th while Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT wound up 31st.
Hebert Finally Tastes NHMS Victory at Northeast Classic
Loudon, NH — Reigning American-Canadian Tour (ACT) champion Jimmy Hebert of Williamstown, VT finally scored a long-awaited victory at Loudon’s New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) on Sunday, April 18 in the inaugural Northeast Classic. Hebert was awarded the win following post-race technical inspection, giving the veteran a triumph he’d been chasing for his entire decade-long Late Model career. (more…)
