Rising star Derek Griffith is heading to Martinsville Speedway this Friday, April 8, to make his second NASCAR Xfinity Series start with Sam Hunt Racing in the Call 811 Before You Dig 250. Griffith finished 26th in his Xfinity Series debut driving the No. 26 Toyota GR Supra last weekend at Richmond Raceway, gaining crucial experience, which will help him rolling into the tight confines of Martinsville.
The first four races of the 2022 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season have passed the eye-test producing side-by-side, action-packed competition, and it’s no surprise because the stats are backing up what the fans are seeing.
MOORESVILLE, N.C. (February 2, 2022) – Sam Hunt Racing (SHR) announced today that Derek Griffith, a 24-year-old New Hampshire native, will pilot the No. 26 Toyota GR Supra for multiple races in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) in 2022 starting at Martinsville Speedway on Friday, April 8.

MILFORD, Conn. – Doug Coby Racing announced today the addition of champion crew chief John McKenna to the team for the 2022 season, while also announcing a seven-race Modified schedule. The team is tentatively set to run four NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour events and three Open Modified races – filling out a schedule where the ultimate goal will be to capture the trophy. After blown engine Texas Motor Speedway and a lackluster ninth-place run at Kansas Speedway in the first two races of #NASCAR’s Round of 8 playoffs, Joey Logano of Middletown, CT had only one option to make it to the finale at Phoenix Raceway. Martinsville gave us all we could want in a cut off race and more. The two drivers that led the most laps are moving on, but they didn’t win. A non-championship driver and three time race winner, not a hack, stayed competitive and saw a chance to win at the end and went for it. Lap after lap Alex Bowman and Denny Hamlin raced hard side by side before Bowman got lose after driving his car in too deep and sent Hamlin spinning. (more…)
