Tony Stewart To Make NHRA Driving Debut at Las Vegas

COLUMBUS, Ind. (Oct. 24, 2022) – After two multi-day sessions at Frank Hawley’s Drag Racing School and a handful of tests over the last two years in both a Top Alcohol dragster and a Top Fuel dragster, Tony Stewart is ready for the real thing.

The versatile racer who owns driving championships across NASCAR, INDYCAR and USAC, along with hundreds of victories on oval tracks, dirt tracks and road courses, will throttle up behind the wheel of a Top Alcohol dragster during the NHRA Nevada Nationals Oct. 28-30 at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Bob Tasca III’s NHRA Victory in Vegas Shows Funny Car Class is Wide Open

After the Ford Motor Company pulled out of NHRA pro drag racing in late 2013, Cranston, RI’s Bob Tasca III warned it had made a mistake: “I truly believe they have underestimated the passion and loyalty of the NHRA fans” – and lobbied hard for a decision reversal.

Houston, TX – February 27, 2019. Pennzoil is taking over Las Vegas this March to host the second annual Pennzoil 400 Presented by Jiffy Lube, part of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS), at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Following the overwhelming success of last year’s inaugural race, the Pennzoil 400 Presented by Jiffy Lube will serve as the main event of an action-packed, triple-header motorsports weekend.
