The Northeastern Midget Association visited the Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park for the annual ACT World Series of Racing this past Saturday and Sunday, as 30 winged NEMA warriors filled the pits for the annual Shane Hammond Memorial. Randy Cabral fended off an early race challenge by John Zych and a late race challenge by teammate Ben Seitz to take down the NEMA victory and come one step closer to his eighth championship, and PJ Stergios dominated the Lites portion of the racing card on Sunday.

A packed house at Bobby Webber’s Star Speedway greeted a full field of NEMA and NEMA lites this past Saturday, with over 32 cars on hand, one of the club’s best car counts of the year. Paul Scally continued his hot streak, taking the NEMA race in convincing style, and Avery Stoehr avoided attrition in an unusually rough NEMA lites feature.

As a result of winning the Modified feature race last Saturday night at Grandview Speedway Craig Von Dohren has moved to within 19 points of Brett Kressley in the chase for the NASCAR T.P.Trailers Modified championship. Kressley, the point leader for much of the season, finished 15th in the feature race. Going into the $10,000 to win 51st Annual Forrest Rogers Memorial on Saturday, August 14th, Kressley, shooting for his first Modified championship, has 3803 points while Von Dohren, the defending champion looking for his 12th title has 3784 points. Third is held by Jared Umbenhauer with 3445 counters. Just five NASCAR point events remain on the 2021 schedule. (more…)

WALPOLE, N.H. — Bryan Kruczek passed the entire field — at least twice — en route to his first career Granite State Pro Stock Series win at Star Speedway on Saturday, May 8. Kruczek, who was fastest in time trials and won his heat race, started seventh — but had to go to the rear on at least two different occasions. The Bobby Webber Racing driver didn’t let that slow him down, as he took the Vynorius No. 19 into Victory Lane in the third GSPSS race of the season, the Hedges Excavating 100. (more…)
