(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted the 52nd Annual NAPA Spring Sizzler® on Sunday, April 28 with feature events for the SK Modified® and SK Light divisions. Troy Talman notched his first career Stafford SK Modified® feature victory with a thrilling last lap pass on Marcello Rufrano while the SK Light feature event was halted with 8 laps complete due to rain.
Oxford, ME — The persistent spring rains once again aggravated officials, teams and fans of the American-Canadian Tour during the start to the 2024 season on their return to Oxford Plains Speedway. While early morning rains dried off, grey clouds returned just after the halfway point of the American-Canadian Tour special and added area-wide lightning threats pushed both ACT and Oxford Plains officials to end the program early with the ACT Pine Tree State event official after completing 65 of the originally scheduled 125 laps. Saturday was the perfect day for racing with temperatures hovering just above 60 degrees, a light breeze and not a cloud in the sky. It was the opposite of the weather the week prior, where rain had plagued Wiscasset Speedway during their 2024 season opener. Number nine on the entry list goes to the ever popular Senoia, Georgia driver Andrew “Bubba” Pollard who is no stranger to Oxford Plains Speedway and will now visit the speedway twice in 2024.
