The year 1985 was monumental for grassroots racing in NASCAR.
The Modified series, standing as the sanctioning body’s oldest division having existed since Red Byron took the first NASCAR points-paying victory on the beach course in Daytona Beach on Feb. 15, 1948, was consolidated into what was then called the Winston Modified Tour. HOLTSVILLE, N.Y. – Justin Bonsignore and the Ken Massa Motorsports team are ready to chase a fourth NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour title entering the 2023 season.
MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) announced today that Mike Christopher Jr. will return to the seat of the No. 7NY for the 2023 season. Christopher will pilot the car for the championship in the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series in their six-race schedule, and additional events to be announced.

MILFORD, Conn. – Doug Coby and Tommy Baldwin Racing jointly announced today that Coby will pilot the historic No. 7NY for a full-time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour campaign in 2023.
It was announced Saturday that the Modified Racing Series has changed ownership.
The series was founded by Jack Bateman in 2004. It was announced Saturday that Bateman has sold the series to William Doucette.
Doucette has been the primary operator of the series in recent years. (more…)
