Thompson, CT — With doom and gloom forecasted for Wednesday, August 17th in Northeast Connecticut, American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Officials have postponed the return of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour to Thursday, August 18th. MILFORD, Conn. – For the first time in over one month, Doug Coby will strap in behind the wheel of the Mayhew Tools No. 10 Modified this Wednesday night. Coby will be competing in the Phoenix Communications 150 at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park, as the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour returns to the high-banks for the first time in just under two years on August 17.

HOLTSVILLE, N.Y. – With six races to go in the 2022 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season, Justin Bonsignore and the Ken Massa Motorsports team will get back to work this week in Connecticut. Set for a mid-week event in the Phoenix Communications 150, the tour will return to Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park for the first time since 2020, with race night set for Wednesday, August 17, at 8 p.m., live on FloRacing.TV.
Entering the 2022 NASCAR Modified race season at Riverhead Raceway, Jason Agugliaro of Islip was working to put together his own race car but knew he’d get a very late start to his season. Enter car owner Joe Ambrose who had a seat available in his potent machine and Saturday night the new pairing found victory lane winning the 50-lap feature event. WATERFORD, Conn. – Dana DiMatteo wasn’t going to be denied on Saturday night in the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series return to the New London-Waterford Speedbowl. DiMatteo passed Kyle Bonsignore to score arguably the biggest win of his racing career in the Belltown Motors/Fowler’s Auto Wrecking 100 presented by CBYD 811, collecting a smooth $10,000 in the process. Despite being under the weather during the week, Dylan Slepian of Dix Hills felt just fine Saturday at Riverhead Raceway once strapped into his NASCAR Modified. He felt even better at the end of 50-laps after executing a late race outside pass of Jack Handley Jr. of Medford to score his second win of the season.
