The Race of Champions Modified Series is making changes to the 2022 schedule.
The event at Lorain Raceway Park in Ohio has been removed in agreement with promoter, Randy Maggio, Jr., from the 2022 schedule, with both management parties giving consideration to reviewing the potential of a date on future schedules. (more…)
After an offseason full of hard work and anticipation, Sam Rameau and the Rameau Family Motorsports team are ready to head back to work at the track this weekend. The Massachusetts based operation will roll just up the road at Monadnock Speedway in Winchester, New Hampshire, as Rameau will compete in two events over two days at Monadnock’s season-opening Spring Dash weekend.
The Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series has a new title sponsor, a strong contingent of drivers, and $10,000 on the line for the 2022 season opener. This Saturday, April 30, teams will compete in a 100-lap race for the big prize at Monadnock Speedway in Winchester, New Hampshire. The race is the first of many on a stout schedule for the new year for the Tri-Track Series.
(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Motor Speedway kicked off the 2022 season with “The Greatest Race in the History of Spring,” the 50th Annual NAPA Spring Sizzler with Open Modified cars. STAFFORD, Conn. – For the first time in 2022, Stan Mertz Racing unloaded at the track for the 50th running of the NAPA Spring Sizzler at Stafford Motor Speedway on April 23-24. Driving the No. 6, Matt Galko qualified into the big dance, and led laps in the first half of the 100-lap Spring Sizzler feature. After a pit stop for fresh rubber, Galko restarted outside the top-10, but worked his way back into the top-10 quickly, and continued advancing through the field before the finish.
STAFFORD, Conn. – For the first time in 2022, the Doug Coby Racing team unloaded at the track on April 23-24, competing in the 50th running of the NAPA Spring Sizzler at Stafford Motor Speedway. When the 100-lap Sizzler feature took the checkered flag, Coby wheeled the No. 10 Mayhew Tools entry to a 17th place finish. The team elected to try a tire strategy that kept fresh Hoosier rubber in the pit area until late in the race, with the plan to put them on and make a dash through the field.
For race teams and fans on Long Island the first practice day leading up to a new race season is a annual right of spring. Saturday morning Riverhead Raceway swung open the pit gates to officially start on track activity for the 72nd season of racing, quickly the paddock area was overflowing with race cars readying for opening night in tow weeks on Saturday May 7th. ATTLEBORO, Mass. – When the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour returns to Jennerstown Speedway on Memorial Day weekend, drivers will contest in the 150-lap Jennerstown Salutes special. The race will mark the second consecutive year that JDV Productions – promoters of the event – partner with Operation Vet NOW Inc.
