LOUDON, N.H. – Fans headed to New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) for New England’s only NASCAR Playoffs weekend are in for a wicked good time at “The Magic Mile” as drivers take to the track for three full days of action-packed racing this Friday through Sunday, Sept. 19-21. From one driver’s chance to go back-to-back and be the first to lock in to the NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) Playoffs Round of 8 to the majority of the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) field racing at NHMS for the very first time during a cutoff race, there will be no shortage of thrilling, white-knuckled excitement for fans to enjoy. Here are five must-watch storylines headed into the weekend:
CLAREMONT, N.H. – Claremont Motorsports Park closed out the Weekly Racing Series portion of its ambitious 78th season of oval track competition Friday, crowning eight different drivers as champions of their 2025 divisions, no fewer than four of them first timers atop their classes at the historic third-mile speedplant.
BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – The 63rd anniversary season of auto racing action at Grandview Speedway moves into the final weekend of competition for Modified and Sportsman competitors, and it is the biggest weekend of the season with the running of the 55th annual Freedom 76!
One thing is becoming abundantly clear with the budding driving career of 18-year-old Chase Grennan of Glen Cove, the bright spotlight of signature NASCAR Modified events at Riverhead Raceway doesn’t intimidate him at all. In fact, he thrives on them and has been dubbed with the moniker “Big Time”. Saturday, the college freshman set fast time and led all but the first lap of the Cecil Palm Tree 66 for his third win of the season, all Crown Jewel Series events for the Ted Christopher Cup. Add his upset win in the 2024 Islip 300 and the only left for “Big Time” Chase to accomplish is to win a 50-lap weekly event.
(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted USNE First Responder Friday on September 12th with the TC 13 Shootout joining Stafford’s five weekly divisions in feature action. The SK Modified® division ran their regularly scheduled 40-lap feature as well as the 3rd Annual TC 13 Shootout, a 13 lap race contested between the top-13 finishers from the 40-lap feature. Michael Christopher, Jr. was the big winner of the night taking home the TC 13 Shootout trophy and the $1,313 to win TC 13 Shootout.
