- SAWALICH AT BRISTOL: William Sawalich is the defending winner of the ARCA Menards Series East (AMSE) race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Last year, Sawalich made a late-race pass for the lead to claim the race win after clinching the AMSE championship earlier in the night. Thursday night’s race is the AMSE season finale. Sawalich currently sits second in the championship points standings, 16 points behind leader Connor Zilisch. Sawalich will run double-duty on Thursday as the climbs behind the wheel of the No. 1 Toyota Tundra for TRICON Garage after the AMSE race.
- 2023 ARCA EAST CHAMPION: Sawalich claimed the 2023 AMSE championship at Bristol Motor Speedway. He ended the AMSE season with four wins and finished in the top-five in all eight races on the AMSE schedule. He became the second AMSE champion for Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) and the first Minnesotan to win the series championship.

- SMITH AT BRISTOL: Chandler Smith made his first NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) start at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS) last year and finished in the top-five. Smith also has four NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series starts, including a 2021 win, at the World’s Fastest Half-Mile.
- WATKINS GLEN RECAP: Smith ran in the top-10 consistently during last weekend’s NXS race at Watkins Glen after qualifying sixth. The driver of the No. 81 picked up a couple of positions to finish fourth in the first stage. Strategy played into flipping the second stage to start up front in the final stretch of the race. Smith survived two overtime restarts to collect another top-five with a fourth-place finish.

He has 11 top-10 and seven top-five finishes and is 12th in points, six points ahead of Denny Hamlin. The top-12 advance to the second round after the Bristol night race on September 21.

Christian Rose and AM Racing Unveil WVU Medicine Children’s Livery for Bristol Motor Speedway
STATESVILLE, N.C.: The penultimate ARCA Menards Series short track race of the year at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway will feature a fiery new paint scheme with AM Racing and driver Christian Rose partnering with WVU Medicine Children’s for Thursday night’s Bush’s Bean 200.

Bristol Notes: Denny Hamlin is a four-time NASCAR Cup Series winner at Bristol Motor Speedway, including the past two trips to the World’s Fastest Half-Mile. Overall, Hamlin owns 11 top-five finishes, 18 top-10s, four pole awards, and 1,199 laps led at Bristol. He has earned four consecutive top-10 finishes at the track dating back to 2021. In the past two Bristol races, Hamlin has led a combined 305 of 1,000 laps.
Bristol Qualifying: Hamlin leads all active drivers with four pole awards at Bristol. He has started inside the top 10 in nine consecutive Bristol races going back to March 2019. Hamlin has qualified fourth or better in three races at Bristol with the Next Gen racecar.
Logan Bearden to Drive for AM Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Race at Bristol Motor Speedway
STATESVILLE, N.C.: Officials from AM Racing confirmed today that Logan Bearden will drive the team’s No. 15 Ford Mustang in Friday night’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Food City 300 at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway on September 20, 2024.
The final race of the regular NASCAR Xfinity Series season will be Bearden’s first driving for the Statesville, N.C.-based team, but his sixth Xfinity start of the season and first since Michigan International Speedway last month. (more…)
NASCAR Entry List for Craftsman Truck Series Race at Bristol Motor Speedway
The NASCAR Truck Series is ready to take on the UNOH 200 at Bristol Motor Speedway, and the entry lists have been revealed.
For the UNOH 200, there will be 37 entries, which means two drivers will miss the show. Among the notable entries are William Sawalich (TRICON Garage) and Connor Zilisch (Spire Motorsports). Also, Conner Jones will drive the No. 66 truck for ThorSport Racing. Meanwhile, Connor Mosack returns to Niece Motorsports.
