Late Model Challenge Cup Ready for 2021 Debut on Grand Scale
Waterbury, VT — After a one-year delay, The New England Late Model Challenge Cup (NELMCC) is finally debuting in 2021 — and it will be even bigger than originally planned. American-Canadian Tour (ACT) officials confirmed today that nine tracks have signed up for the first season of the series that will pit weekly Late Model racers from across the region in a summer-long battle for pride, glory, and some serious prize money. I suppose it’s only fitting that one of my favorite races of the year, the Rolex 24 at Daytona, kicks off what should be one of the most memorable seasons in NASCAR in decades. Connecticut’s David Gravel Is Looking For The 2021 World of Outlaws Championship
David Gravel of Watertown, CT joins Big Game Motorsports to run for the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series championship in 2021.
He parted ways with Jason Johnson Racing at the end of 2020, after the pair collected seven wins together, and finished second in the team championship standings. (more…)
Matt Swanson Helping Steer “Ole Blue” Modified Tour Car Back To Top
After a red-hot finish to the 2019 Whelen Modified Tour season, Matt Swanson was pumped up.
The season had started slow for Swanson and the BRE Racing No. 3 team from E. Freetown with just one top-10 in the first five races.
Then, Swanson and the No. 3 team returned to form, finishing outside the top-10 just three times the rest of the season. (more…)

Track Talk – Star Speedway Classic will be aired on MAV-TV
EPPING, N.H. — Star Speedway announced on Wednesday the addition of the Star Classic to Speed51’s Short Track America lineup on MAVTV for the 2021 season. The prestigious three-day weekend, scheduled for September 17-19, will include 14 different divisions, with some of the most intense short-track action New Hampshire will see all season.
The Classic will once again air live to viewers on Speed51.TV, and the enhanced MAVTV broadcast of the ISMA Supermodifieds will be tape-delayed and air at a later date. The broadcast will include multiple camera angles, a pit reporter, on-board cameras and more. (more…)
