Evans Mills, N.Y. – (June 27, 2025) – The Race of Champions Modified Series is gearing up for its return to New York’s North Country with the running of the “Rocket 76’er” at Evans Mills Raceway Park on Saturday, July 5, 2025. The event is presented by Bob Johnson Auto Group in Watertown and Pulaski and NAPA Auto Parts, and will feature a 76-lap feature paying $5,000 to win and $500 to start.

This marks the 18th Annual USAC Levan Machine & Truck Equipment Eastern Storm and after all qualifying, the main event is the 40 lap $6,000 to win Jesse Hockett Classic. For the 358 Modifieds, they too will take part in a series of qualifying events leading up to their 30 lap $3,000 to win main event. An added bonus posted is the Alpine Building Supply $2,000 first time Thunder on the Hill Modified feature winner. That makes it a $5,000 payday for just 30 laps for a first-time modified winner. Gates open at 5 PM with race time set for 7:30 PM.

Feature winners on the day were Jon Puleo in the SK Modified® feature, Paul Varricchio, Jr. in the Late Model feature, Nickolas Hovey and Brian Sullivan were the winners of the two 20-lap SK Light duels that will set the starting field for the SK Light 30-lap feature on the Friday, May 9 Weekly Racing card, Matt Clement in the Limited Late Model feature, and Bert Ouellette in the Street Stock feature.
(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Motor Speedway hosted the 53rd Annual NAPA Spring Sizzler®, “The Greatest Race in the History of Spring,” on Sunday, April 27th with Open Modified cars. Stephen Kopcik overcame an early race penalty to work his way back to the front of the field and took control of the race in the second half to score his first career NAPA Spring Sizzler® victory.

Brent Marks and Rico Abreu, the two previous winners of the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series Rich Mar Florist Kubota High Limit 410 sprint events presented by Levan Machine & Truck Equipment will be chasing that checker flag again at Grandview Speedway Tuesday night, May 20. A hefty $20,000 first place prize is on the line for the winner of the 35 lap High Limit event that is also part of the Roto-Rooter MIDWEEK Series. In addition, if the race winner is a Pennsylvania driver, they will pocket an additional $2,000 bonus courtesy of Alpine Building Supply. In last year’s event local favorite Brent Marks collected the $2,000 PA driver bonus. It was the first Thunder on the Hill victory for Marks after nineteen starts at the Bechtelsville, PA speedway.
