Here’s How The New Englanders Performed At Talladega

Austin Cindric won the Cup race. Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT finished in 28^th place. Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT was 38^th and Joey Logano of Middletown, CT got 39th. Both Preece and Logano were DQ due to having illegal adjustments problems.

Austin Hill won the Xfinity race a day earlier with Anthony Alfredo in sixth. Patrick Emerling of LI,NY finished 12th. Kris Wright ended up 24^th at the wheel of Cape Cod’s Chris and Mary Our entry. Both father and daughter get their mail in Chatham, MA.

Driver Luke Baldwin won the zMAX CARS Tour Pro Late Model race at Orange County Speedway in Rougemont, North Carolina, before Progressive American Flat Track (AFT) rider Briar Bauman won the Mission AFT SuperTwins feature at California’s Ventura Raceway.

ARCA Menards Series at Talladega Superspeedway General Tire 200 Post-Race Notes

Lawless Alan (No. 20 AUTOParkit Toyota) scored his first career ARCA Menards Series victory in Saturday’s General Tire 200 at Talladega Superspeedway. Alan, who led 30 of the race’s 77 laps, was ahead of Thad Moffitt (No. 46 Induction Innovations Toyota) when the caution flag came out in overtime, freezing the field and ending the race. Alan is the 362nd driver to win at least one ARCA Menards Series race since 1953. His previous best career series finish was fourth at Phoenix Raceway in March.

SONOMA, Calif. (April 27, 2025) ― 2024 TA Champion Paul Menard earned his second win of the season in the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli, leading every lap of a close and competitive race at Sonoma Raceway. Menard was challenged fervently by three-time TA Champion Chris Dyson, who was anxious for redemption after a crash in Sebring kept him out of the seat for Round 2 at Road Atlanta. However, despite Dyson’s valiant efforts, Menard took the checkered flag with a narrow 0.291-second margin of victory.

Rain Washes Out Second Riverhead Raceway Practice Day, Attention Turns To Pack The Track NASCAR Opener Saturday, May 3

Mother nature scored her first triumph of 2025 as rain washed out the second pre-season practice day at Riverhead Raceway Saturday. Focus now turns to this coming Saturday May 3rd when the 75th Anniversary season of racing kicks off with the NASCAR Pack the Track Night for the Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series. With the washout Saturday, resulting in the loss of safety tech inspections, as well tire and fuel sales, track GM John Ellwood has adjusted the itinerary for Saturday’s opener.

TALLADEGA, Ala. – Austin Cindric’s dramatic last lap pass provided exactly the sort of Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway thrill that NASCAR fans have come to expect at the sport’s biggest track, earning the 2022 Daytona 500 winner Cindric – and Team Penske – their first trophies of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season.

Cindric’s No. 2 Team Penske Ford pulled ahead of Roush Fenway Keselowski driver Ryan Preece’s No. 60 Ford by the length of a front hood to claim a .022-second victory in Sunday’s Jack Link’s 500 – the two Ford Mustangs exchanging the lead five times in the final six laps.
