During the winter months Kyle Ellwood’s INEX Legend Race Car owners Eric Lutz and his son Chance decided to add a NASCAR Modified to their 2025 Riverhead Raceway plans with Ellwood at the wheel. Sunday, in just their third start the new combination scored the 50-lap NASCAR Modified victory, the ninth of Kyle’s career. A Saturday rain out implemented the new rain date policy announced by management during their schedule release.

Entering the final weekend of what is one of the wettest months of May on record, Riverhead Raceway had been able to skirt the wet stuff, until now. Friday morning track management announced with a highly unfavorable forecast projected; they were moving the Saturday evening NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series program to Sunday afternoon June 1st. The Local Sports League Team Night that was schedules for Sunday will also move to Sunday afternoon as well.
One of the most exciting races of the NASCAR weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway is the Mohegan Sun 100 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour race. Known for its fast-paced action, close racing and diehard fan following, this event has earned its reputation as a must-watch for anyone attending the NASCAR Playoffs weekend at “The Magic Mile.”
At the Indianapolis Speedway it was Spain’s Alex Palou taking the Borger-Warner Trophy and the big money for winning the Classic Indianapolis 500 event. Santino Ferrucci of Woodbury, CT placed a strong seventh place.

N. Woodstock, NH — Following the rain on HK Powersports Opening Weekend, White Mountain Motorsports Park officials spent Monday morning reshuffling the 2025 schedule. The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Spectacular originally scheduled for Sunday, May 18 has been moved to Sunday, July 27 and will still include the PASS Modifieds and the New England Supermodified Series. Unfortunately the NELCAR Tour cannot make the July 27 show with prior commitments but the Legends and Bandoleros return to White Mountain on May 31 and September 6.
Bob Tasca III of Hope RI will perform in his Funny Car that weekend in front of a home crowd. Carson Hocevar won the NASCAR All Star race. Ryan Preece finished 11th. At the qualifying of the Indy 500, Robert Shwartzman is on the pole while Santino Ferrucci will start the 500 from 17th position.
