Luke Baldwin Makes His NASCAR Truck Series Debut With Thorsport Racing In The No. 66 Mohawk Northeast, Inc. Ford F-150

SANDUSKY, OHIO (March 4, 2025) – ThorSport Racing announces a three-race venture with Luke Baldwin for his debut in the 2025 NASCAR Truck Series, driving the No. 66 Mohawk Northeast, Inc. Ford F-150 with veteran Crew Chief Doug George.

Baldwin is set to compete in his first race of the year in the Long John Silver 200 at Martinsville Speedway on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 7:30 PM ET. His debut will be followed by two additional races at Kansas Speedway and North Wilkesboro Speedway.

Ross Chastain won the Cup race with Middletown, CT’s Joey Logano coming in  14th followed by Corey LaJoie and Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT while Boston’s Kaz Grala was awarded 31st place.    Corey Lajoie is the son of two-time Xfinity Champion Randy Lajoie who resided in Norwalk, CT before moving south to NC.
Aric Almirola won the Xfinity race while Parker Kligerman of Westport, CT finished 12th with Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT came in 15th.  Kyle Weatherman placed 26th with Blain Perkins 28th and Long island’s Patrick Emerling of Long Island, NY got 30th place.  Weatherman and Perkins both drive team cars for Cape Cod’s Chris and Mary Our who call Chatham, MA home.

Mohawk Northeast Racing: Ryan Preece Watkins Glen Advance

●  The Go Bowling at The Glen Sunday at Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International is the fourth of five road-course races on the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series schedule. Ryan Preece, driver of the No. 41 Mohawk Northeast Ford Mustang Dark Horse for Stewart-Haas Racing, finished 23rd in the series’ first road-course race of the year March 24 at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas. He then placed 18th in the series’ second road-course stop June 9 at Sonoma (Calif.) Raceway. In his most recent road-course start on the streets of downtown Chicago for the July 7 Grant Park 165, Preece finished 34th. After Watkins Glen, the final road-course race of the year takes place Oct. 12 on the Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway Roval.

●  Sunday’s race will mark Preece’s fourth NASCAR Cup Series start at Watkins Glen. Best among his three previous starts was his most recent, a 17th-place drive from the 30th starting position in August 2023. Preece’s first two Cup Series starts at 2.45-mile, seven-turn road course came with JTG Daugherty Racing in 2019 and 2021, which resulted in finishes of 36th and 28th, respectively. (more…)

Shane Van Gisbergen won the Xfinity race at Sonoma, Parker Kligerman of Westport, CT took tenth place, Blaine Perkins came in 18th, Kyle Weatherman ended up 30th and Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT ended up 31st.  Perkins and Weatherman both drive team cars for Cape Cod’s Chris and Mary Our who get their sleep during the week in Harwich, MA.
Will Power won the Indy Car race at Road America while Santo Ferrucci of Woodbury CT took 15th place.
