DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship has a long, memorable history of racing in the streets, ranging from Miami to Del Mar, San Antonio to Detroit, Nova Scotia to Australia. Bicentennial Park’s streets played host to a two-time Formula 1 World Champion coming out of retirement to race in 1983 in IMSA’s Grand Prix of Miami, setting the stage for a glorious second act to his legendary career. You may have heard of him: Emerson Fittipaldi. And it was Scotland’s Allan McNish (driving with a strained back he injured whilst stepping out of kilt during a pre-race photo shoot) who teamed with Rinaldo “Dindo” Capello and Brad Jones to win IMSA’s first and only race Down Under on the streets of Adelaide.

Piloting the No. 05 Alliance Packaging Chevrolet for Performance Vehicle Works, Bell showed steady progress — from Friday’s test session through Saturday’s practice and all the way to the checkered flag.

CR7 Racing’s Grant Enfinger is the defending Homestead race winner. Last week’s Las Vegas winner, Corey Heim led a race best 68 of the 134 laps but finished fourth in the October 2024 Homestead visit.

SEBRING, Fla. (February 23, 2025) ― Paul Menard kicked off the 2025 season of the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli in a similar fashion to his 2024 championship-winning season: with a victory at Sebring International Raceway. After starting the race from the pole, he led the first five laps before being passed by 2023 CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series champion Brent Crews. However, a late mechanical issue by Crews put Menard back in the point position, allowing him to claim his first win of the season.
