Chalk up another one for Rico Abreu.

It’s been a dream season for the St. Helena, CA native, and he’s got no intentions of letting his foot off the gas as 2025 winds down.

Abreu entered World of Outlaws World Finals week with a nation-leading 20 Sprint Car victories this year. One thing lacking from his résumé was a win at North Carolina’s The Dirt Track at Charlotte with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars. He’d been close with a trio of runner-ups including one in his most recent appearance, but he doesn’t have to be the bridesmaid anymore.

Islip 300, Riverhead RacewayActivity and excitement surrounding the 9th annual Islip 300 Saturday November 15th at Riverhead Raceway building for the $12,000 to win tour type Modified spectacular. Monday, track management announced free registration for the Islip 300 and support classes is now open, as well revealing several major changes to race procedure for the 300. Chase Grennan of Glen Cove scored a huge upset win at just 17-years old last November, and the college freshman hopes to become the first back-to-back winner of the short track classic next month.

FR Americas, F4 U.S. and Ligier Junior Formula ChampionshipCHARLOTTE (October 1, 2025) – Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas), Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) and Ligier Junior Formula Championship (Ligier JFC) have unveiled their 2026 race schedules, mixing some of the most iconic circuits in North America with some of the best training grounds for young talent. The defending World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series champions won $83,000 at Thunderbowl Raceway’s Dennis Roth Classic in California last Saturday. Six days later the scene shifted more than 2,000 miles east to Findlay, OH’s Millstream Speedway for Sheldon Haudenschild’s Buckeye Brawl presented by NOS Energy Drink. The result? Another trip to Victory Lane for Gravel and the Big Game crew.
